It's a fitting tribute to its founder, Kit Carson, who passed away in the Fall of 2014. Based off the original M16 design, these ly inspired knives are ready to conquer your civilian tasks. They feature an AUS 8 stainless steel spear point blade that's tough, holds an edge well and is easier to sharpen in the field than tool steel. Meanwhile the CRKT locking liner safety innovation adds an ingenious layer of safety to your folding . The safety sets a pin between the locking liner and the frame. This pin acts as an additional layer of safety, so the locking liner is less likely to disengage during use. To engage the safety, push the manual safety lever forward. To close the , pull the manual lever back, slide the locking liner over, and fold the blade into the closed position. Many CRKT folders feature this innovative safety system.
