You might get HBO with this shade! :). I have had it for years now. It is huge like a satellite dish and absolutely blocks the sun, is 10 degrees cooler underneath and is sturdy even in very strong wind. You have to be careful who is behind you as it does reflect light and can be pretty bright in the eyes of people behind you. I am ordering the smaller version just so it doesn’t take up so much room while sitting on the sidelines during soccer games.

I love this umbrella . I know it was going to be a large umbrella but it's really huge. I'm using it in the Caribbean sun and it's such a dramatic drop in heat when under the umbrella. I like the carrying case/sleeve. I don't plan on using this for rain but it looks like it will work well for rain. The button to open the umbrella is the press buttons kind, these tend to fail with time so I tend to be careful with how I engage the button. But it opens and closes with ease. Not sure yet how the double canopy will fair in Caribbean trade winds. The handle is the soft spongy handle. Not the rubberised polyurethane coating that melts and gets sticky in the heat. This umbrella was expensive in my opinion but if it works for more than a year, it will have been worth it.

This umbrella is great. It's large with a good dome and truly blocks the sun. It's my saving grace at soccer practice in South Texas. The slipcover sleeve it gets stored in is total crap tho. It fits on the umbrella very tight, and after you've opened the umbrella and closed it, you'll never get the perfect factory pleated fold again, so the closed umbrella is now thicker and so the sleeve is now even tighter. You might try to use the carrying straps to pull the sleeve off the umbrella (like I did), but they are poorly sewn and they tore off immediately. The umbrella itself is easy to open and close. There is not a metal catch you need to press to close the umbrella (like old traditional ones) so no pinching risk. Really I just hate the storage sleeve.

Thick fabric feels kind of weird, like it might get mushy in the sun, but it actually felt and acted better when out in the sun. Nice sun blocking. It opens easily, had to pull down from the top center to close the one I got. I returned it so I am not sure about wind and rain function. I found having 2 wrap-around Velcro closures helpful, one towards the top and the other midway to bottom makes it easier to store and fir back into it's slim self-fabric case. The handle bottom is made with a spongy comfort fabric for a better grasp. Quality seems good according to price a good value. ISSUE is advert says for golf, I wanted one to attach to a cart pole, the handle precludes that and also the handle could be a bit longer it would help. Yet al in al it is nice, does an effective sun blocking job, and is pretty even is space-shiny! I'd say use it for outdoor walks in hot, sunny places.

Love love love this umbrella. Use it all the time at soccer games and it truly does help with the heat. Regular umbrellas you can feel the heat coming through where this umbrella you really don’t. It opens easy. Size works for both my husband and I. I enjoy the one touch open button. It is strong to withstand the wind. I would recommend this to anyone to buy! I will never go back to regular umbrellas!

It is fantastic as far as sun repellant! My previous umbrella was just a rain umbrella, so when I was using it to protect me from the sun it was still hot underneath. This is just what I wanted and works great as I described. However, once I got it, I realized that I did not know what I really needed. This is too big. I just didn't realize what that means. I wanted to use it on my golf caddy (electric cart that carries only your clubs). However, the size that I ordered just overwhelms the cart because of its weight combined with the leverage added by its extension. So, I carry it most of the time and just park it on the cart when I'm hitting the ball.

Good coverage. It's a bit heavy to hold one handed. I'm currently just out of a cast and in a brace so it's an awkward hold. I plan on using this during recess to block the sun. It seems good quality so I expect it will hold up well this school year. The button was an easy open. It was more difficult to close it at the beginning of my cast wearing.

So far good. Used it couple of times in the sun. Felt cooler and comfortable under the umbrella. Sturdy enough to withstand the wind. Easy to fold and the button to open is an awesome feature.

I've had some reasonable golf umbrellas over the years, but this one is the best yet. It's absolutely worth going for the larger size, there's just so much room underneath it. As you know, rain doesn't always come straight down, so having an umbrella with the width and depth of this one means you can stay dry at all times. The handle is soft to touch, but firmly built, and the grip fits my fingers perfectly. The one touch button works flawlessly to open the umbrella, and I like how it has two separate straps which clip it back in place once you're done using it. Clever design with the vented top which allows air to flow through without turning it into a wind trap like cheaper umbrellas. And the overall quality of the materials and construction is just excellent. From now one, my cheap umbrella goes in the car for quick dashes to the shops, and this G4Free stays permanently on my golf bag. I've had it for a few months now, and I'm confident it will give me years of great service.

There is a noticeable difference when using this umbrella vs not. I purchased it to use during an all-day event that I knew was going to be sunny and unshaded, but I wasn't expecting it to be almost 40°. While I can't tell you what the temperature was under the umbrella, what I can say is without it I think I would have suffered some serious heat stroke. I'd go so far as to say it was an actual life saver. It wasn't a windy day, so I don't have a comment on its strength in that regard. The 54" size is a little on the large side for walking around slightly crowded areas, but also isn't really large enough to cover 2 people at the same time while walking. (Myself at 5'3" and my partner at 6'2", so you be the judge on that!) But it was the perfect size for me to hide under while sitting in a chair trying not to melt!
