While this is not the most proud moment as i write this but here we are. I work from home and of course I eat at my desk. While I feel I do a good job of keeping my snacks and lunch debris to a minimum this thing says otherwise. Bought this as i felt i should try to keep my work area a little cleaner along with being able to clean other keyboards in the house and my god this thing gets EVERYTHING out of the keyboard. No crumb will be left safe with this thing. I now try to use it once per week to keep the debris in the keyboard to a minimum. The stickiness is amazing for how well it grabs everything. The size and softness are perfect for getting into every crevice of your keyboard to make sure its clean. The little jar is nice to keep on your desk as a constant reminder to use it as well. As the title says if you are eating at your desk i strongly recommend you grab this and dont be to hard on yourself when you see how much you pull from your keyboard the first time.

It worked amazingly well on a well-dustified keyboard. I am very satisfied with this product. Throwing it away after it changes color from the dust and dirt it picks up is very acceptable and I'm sure I can get many and multiple uses of this until that color change happens. You're not going to want to pick up big debris with this as the debris stays in the gel. If it had a lemon scent to it, that would be wonderful, but honestly I don't smell any kind of scent from it so that's actually a little unfortunate. For the price and the ease of just tossing it after it's dirty and you no longer want to use it, it can't be beat! **Update**: I'd give this product a 0 Star!!! :( So I pulled out my jar of this to clean my keyboards for my computers (and this would only be my 4th time to be using this product) and when I tried to take it out of the jar, it was a sticky gooey substance and NOT the jelly gel that it was when I first got it. Mind you, I purchased this in March of 2020 and it's now August of 2020 and this product has COMPLETELY CHANGED into a slimy mess that sticks to your fingers and would probably ooze down into the keyboard if I had been able to even get it out of the jar!!!

I love using this putty. Doesn’t have much of a scent to it which is a plus to me. I’m happy with the amount of putty in the jar. Does a good job grabbing the flotsam and filth from in between the cracks in my mechanical keyboard. Update: Others have mentioned that the gel gets thin and sticky over time, and I think it does break down the more you use it, probably due to absorbing oils from your skin (and what you're cleaning), but I've also noticed the gel is hygroscopic and gets really glue-like when it dries out. Try adding about 15ml (1Tbsp) of water at a time and stir or shake it up, then leave it sit for a few hours to absorb it. I don't think it ever completely looses its stickiness, (nor would you want it to), but if you add enough water to it, it will be much easier to handle and mostly go back to its original form. I have several jars of this stuff, and I had a jar that had shrunk by about 50% in volume after months in the drawer, but I had barely used it. I slowly added water to it over the course of a few days. By the time I was happy with its condition it had expanded back up to the inner lip of the jar. Having damp skin makes this easier to handle too. if your hands are dry it'll leave bits of itself all over your skin. I suggest washing your hands before (and after) handling this stuff anyway just to remove excess oils that will shorten its life, just don't totally dry your hands before handling it. Regardless of how well you treat and handle your blob, you'll still have to replace it eventually for obvious reasons. You might be thinking: "this sounds like a lot of hassle, why should I bother?" Well, I would tell you thatit works great, and its inexpensive. It's easier to use than brushes; way more effective and easier to use than canned air; it's much safer than an air compressor. It won't clean off thick oily crud, but it will make a dusty, crumb-laden keyboard look clean as new in a few seconds.

I love this stuff... It does such a great job getting into the edges of the keyboard, and pulling dust off the computer side where the fan pulls air in. (Swipe with a cloth, then use this to get in the grille.) I will advise that the last container I had, though, something moldy was growing when I went to use it again... I've always kept it in the cabinet of my desk - at least three in the last 5 years or so, and this is the first time I ever had something grow in it. (I'd actually only used this last container a few times, and was shocked when I unscrewed the lid and saw greyish-green... it had grown into about 1/3 of the container, at the top.) But usually the container lasts me at least a year or so - I only use it around the computer to get in those crevices where a brush won't work or can't get in, and toss it when it starts leaving more behind than it picks up, or (in the case of the previous container) "breaks down" and no longer adheres to itself, leaving a mess behind. That's the sign it's time for a new container! Great product - ordering more next time I make a purchase from Amazon!

This is one of those products where the instructions actually matter. Like, a lot. It works well for what it’s supposed to do, but it’s definitely not a “use it forever and don’t think about it” kind of thing. Part of the confusion comes from the fact that there are two different expiration timelines, and I don’t think everyone catches that. There’s a date printed on the bottom of the container. That date is for when the product is still sealed and unopened. If you never break the seal, that’s the shelf life you go by. That’s probably where people get the idea that it lasts a year or two. Once you open it, that changes. Under the lid, there’s an advisory that says the gel should be used within 3 months of opening, or sooner if the color changes or it starts to feel off. After you break the seal, that three-month window is the one that actually matters. The printed date at the bottom becomes essentially irrelevant at that point. In my case, I realized this was almost a month past that three-month mark. The gel had darkened noticeably, and the texture was way too slimy. I didn’t even end up using it. It was so sticky that I had to wipe it off my hands with tissues, which was my cue to stop before risking residue on anything. When it’s used within that three-month window, though, it does what it’s supposed to do. It picks up dust and crumbs without pushing stuff deeper, and the texture feels right. Not slimy, not messy. One small thing that helped me go forward: once you open it, write the open date on the container. I use a small thermal label for personal inventory identification. Makes it easy to keep track so you’re not guessing later. Used the way it’s meant to be used, it works exactly as expected. ID70X1

Great....at first. PLEASE NOTE: This product expires after a while. It works so well when it's fresh, but after a few months it will get so sticky that it sticks to everything and is very difficult to get off. It says to replace after three months, and that's about how long it lasted. So, to be clear, it works great when you follow directions, haha.

I purchased this gel with lot of confusion even after reading reviews. On application I found this get is super effective cleans almost 92% of old deposited residue/dust, remaining part of deposit can be easily cleaned with water soaked cotton. But I am not sure how long this gel will work. Person willing for such cleaning can go desperately. Submitted photos before applying gel and after complete cleaning....

自宅に４台、職場に２台のPCキーボードがあり、だいぶ汚れが目立ってきたので、埃取りに購入しました。 ややベトベトするスライムでケースのアルミシールを剥がして取り出し、キーボードに押し付けてゴミを取っていきます。あまり一気にゴミ取りしようとせず、塊のままキーボードに押し付けてキーの隙間へ押し込むようにすれば、自然に広がっていきます。剥がすときは一気にして、伸びた塊を埃を内側に折りたたみまた塊にして、繰り返していきます。 使用した後はレモンの香りが残りますが、無臭の方が良かったと思いました。キーの表面に少し油っぽいものが残るので、大判のトレシーを水で湿らせて硬く絞り表面を拭き上げ、別の乾いたトレシーで乾拭きすれば、快適なキートップが蘇ります。 最近のノートPCやアイソレーションタイプのキーは、間隔が広いので比較的押し付け作業が楽ですが、フラットタイプで感覚が狭いタイプのキーは、ちょっと工夫が必要ですが、実際にやってみればコツはすぐに掴めます。 使用後は、使い捨てという方もいらっしゃいますが、ケチなので、要は乾燥させないように保存できれば良いと考え、容器に戻し、ラップで口をしっかりシールして、さらに心もとない蓋を閉めています。 柔軟性が無くなり、取り込んだゴミが目立つようになるまで、使い倒す予定です。
