Marseille Tarot

A wonderful iteration of the TdM. Excellent quality: printing, coloration, cardstock, and box. No more needs saying, save that they shuffle very well.

Wonderful cards and high quality that will make them last for a very long time. It was delivered a lot faster than expected (approx. 3 weeks instead of between one to two months). Packaged with great care, it arrived intact. At first, I was disappointed with its size (i.e. 60mm x 110mm or 2 5/8 in x 4 5/8 in) which is smaller than the "regular" Tarot cards decks). I also misunderstood something about the Customs payable (the $ currency sign is the same for Canada/U.S. and Argentina). I exchanged emails with the Seller - Hugo was very quick, helpful in every way and polite at all times. In fact, the smaller size is a real asset: it is so much easier to handle the cards. Each card is in warm colours and more detailed than the Fournier's (which I also own). They have an inspiring and comforting effect. On the cards, the focus is on the characters, so the cards look even bigger than they really are. I highly recommend this Tarot Deck Cards for those who are interested in the traditional Tarot de Marseilles experience or enjoy collectibles.

Great TdM style deck. Love the traditional images of the majors and the modern color coding of the minors. This deck is based on the original types of tarot cards found in Europe in the 16th thru 19th centuries (yes, there were tarot cards before Waite or Smith were even born) and are still the most popular style even today. It's a "pip deck", so that does mean you need to put in some time and effort to actually learn the meaning of the cards, how they interact with each other, their numerology, etc. I suggest Untold Tarot by Caitlin Matthews.

The deck is easy to shuffle and beautifully made. For readings, the deck is very revealing and easy to connect with. I would recommend this for everyone who wants to start the journey of reading tarot cards, advanced readers, or even for collection is totally worth it and inexpensive compared to others. I am very happy with this deck and surprised by its accuracy as well. I hope my experience helps you somehow.

I had to do some research on this deck, as I am new to Tarot and am used to the Rider Waite, but I like that this deck doesn't come with a companion book. I feel it lends itself to more personal interpretation and less just parroting what someone else thinks the cards mean. It feel like a more personal deck. The cards are also a smaller dimension than a regular deck of cards and a lot smaller than many tarot or oracle decks I've seen, so if you shuffle and have smaller hands, I find this to be much easier and smoother while doing a reading.

Deck box came squashed. Cards inside were safe but not happy with damaged box. The edges were not cut properly so had to use kadomaru to fix the corner. DIY tarot? FUN!

Rating esoteric products like Tarot cards is very subjective. It comes down to "What do I want?" I wanted a Marseilles-style tarot deck printed on quality card stock with beautiful refined images of traditional Marseilles deck subjects, and French titles too. The Fournier cards delivered. The size of the deck is great, the images and colors are striking, and I find them very easy to read. I own the Universal Tarot of Marseilles deck and I like it... but I use the Fournier deck on a daily basis - it just feels better. If you are looking for an authentic reproduction of wood-block printed Tarot cards from the early 18th century, keep looking... If you want a refined Marseilles deck that is fun to handle and read then buy this one. Good luck and best wishes.

Ce jeu de tarot est une superbe découverte. Les cartes sont épaisses, solides et imprimées avec des couleurs vives. Les illustrations sont soignées et respectent parfaitement l’esprit du tarot traditionnel. Le livret explicatif est clair et très utile pour les interprétations. Tarocchi bellissimi, dai colori vivaci e con sfondo pieno, a differenza dell'altro mazzo Fournier che presenta sfondo bianco. La qualità è ottima e si mescolano bene.

The delivery was really fast, the deck is awesome, I don’t like the Marseille style but this is made much better than the classic one as it has astonishing colours and even the material is excellent. I’m enjoying my tarot readings with this spanish deck! Absolutely lovely!
