Igniter works fine. Car starts easy and holds a tune very well. For all you idiots out there if your car is tuned correctly so it can rev high enough it will shift into second gear but if you have a bad tune it will never shift. I break in my nitros with nitro that has 14 % oil and then mix 20% and 30 % nitro so I get a 25% nitro with 9% oil (cheaper to mix and more available this way)and tune them and never have any issues at all and all my nitros hold their tunes and last a long time. If I dont plan on starting them I pull the plug and spray wd40 on top of piston so it doesn't start to rust. The nitro will condense and leave water droplets that will turn into rust if left for to long. This way I dont have problems to worry about. Also pinch your fuel line to turn off the motor because when you put finger over exhaust like many people do to shut it down it leaves fuel in the cylinder wich can rust. When you pinch the fuel line it starves it for fuel by running it out and therefor leaves the cylinder dry. What really makes this car easy to own is get an electric rotory starter and ditch the cheap rope pull start. The other thing with a nitro motor is if you heat up the motor with a blow dryer or head heater or anykind of heater it will fire up so easy it will make your head spin. The tolerances on these nitro motors are so tight that when cold are hard to crank over but the heat from blow dryer loosens it up and let's it crank easier and ignite easier because its up to temp plus this will give you many more hours of life on your motor because it eliminates those cold cranking starts. The blow dryer trick will amaze anyone who has never used it before and it will make nitro so much easier especially for the beginner who doesn't have much time dealing with these motors. Trick works for regular two stoke motors also. Makes starting them a breeze too.

Wish I could rate it lower. I've spent more time fixing this car than I have playing with it. The engine itself is honestly fine, it ran great, held a tune, no problems other than the rear seal failing after about 2 weeks. After about 2 days the gearbox wouldn't go into second gear anymore. After about a week the throttle servo failed.. it failed 3 times in the span of 2 months. In the same week the steering servo horn broke from driving over a crack.. so I 3D printed a new one and it never broke again. This car eats through front axles for some reason. I replaced the front axle 3 times and even tried limiting the steering angle to almost nothing and it still just tore through the axle. In the end I had enough and ended up just smashing it on the ground and stomping it into nothing out of anger. Waste of $300+.

It looks exactly like my old redcat lightning nitro drift car. Someone said an hpi rs4 evo clone. Everything looks exactly as it should and all items were in the box. I primed it with fuel and started it in 2 pulls. Ill be doing the breaking in process for the motor and having fun in no time. This is an entry level basher or rc drift car. You can upgrade the motor to an sh for more reliability and you can also replace many plastic parts with aluminum ones since plastic parts do break if you crash specially at full speed. I've blown these things up like grenades running full speed into an immovable object or pushing plastic parts beyond its capabilities, so it does go pretty darn fast. Keep in mind this is for paved roads preferably flat parking lots, driveways, etc. DO NOT forget to break in your nitro motor and tighten down any screws before you go out bashing. then you can adjust the shift point on your transmission, then you should adjust the carb if required. after that you can start going hard on this thing and have tons of fun. This is not an electric ready to rock out the box rc car. if you do not break in the motor or make the required adjustments to the tune afterwards you are asking for disaster. please read up on nitro engines on rc cars before buying this. Overall this is a solid clone of a very popular nitro drift rc car and its fairly priced for what you get. Perfect for the experienced nitro rc owner to bash around with or teach an up and coming enthusiast who wants to learn the ins and outs of owning a nitro rc vehicle. Requires 8 AA batteries (4 for remote 4 for rc car) so battery life depends on the brand you use. post use review- I have about 10 tanks through this thing and it rips! engine broke in perfectly. put a brand new igniter on it after break in and I have been having a great time. absolutely a solid product and any1 that gave this anything less than 4 stars just doesnt know what they are doing with nitro engines. this thing is great!
