Just go ahead and get the subscription, because at some point you're going to just make this your "go to" coffee. I used to drink whatever dark roast was on sale, because I like a nice, strong cup of coffee. However, I didn't realize that with a dark roast you lose a lot of the unique flavor of the specific coffee beans. This Ethiopian coffee is grown at very high altitude, leading to a denser, more complex flavored coffee bean. The medium roast highlights the beans flavors, creating a less bitter cup of coffee. You'll pay a little more, but it's well worth it.

I do not normally buy pre-ground coffee, but the flavor in this is excellent. I bought it to introduce a couple of grandsons to Yirgacheffe coffee. They were quickly converted to it being their favorite...mostly for the smoothness. It is as smooth as Blue Mountain Jamaican at a fraction of the price. I'll admit that I still prefer a slightly lighter roast and a whole bean, but you will not suffer to buy this product...it is a very good coffee.

If you like strong and aromatic, try this coffee. Great tasting. It is ground so easy to make. Fun fact: Ethiopian coffee is the oldest coffee produced. They make coffee in the most traditional and unique way possible. Ethiopians roast the beans, then grind (no machine used) and then brew. They drink coffee with the grains. Try it.
