The unit came with no hardware, how do you install it?

That’s strange. I would contact the seller because it should of come with at least 2 bolts and depending on the model Jeep there could be two already installed underneath the bumper.

Do you have to do a software update after installing the wiring harness?

I installed the hitch myself. I had a dealer install the wiring. The hitch is extremely easy to install. The Wire gets more difficult. There’s a great YouTube video showing (wiring) how to do it. To answer your question, at first I was going to do the wiring. then they (dealer) talked about not recognizing it. So I made life easy and have them do it.

Does it come with wiring bracket?

No, this is just the hitch. The wiring bracket comes with the Mopar wiring harness.

Will this fit a Gladiator Sport?

I believe that the bolt pattern is completely different on the Gladiator model. The Mopar hitch your going to want to get is Mopar part# 82215648
