Over the years I have tried many knife sharpeners but none were that good with the Global blades. I had probably damaged the cutting angle of the knives using different methods so what a surprise when this one ground them correctly after only about six pulls. Not only that but with a few more gentle pulls the knives became super sharp and stay that way with regular light treatment. It is now the only sharpener I use. Excellent product!

Bought this as my previous knife sharpener (different brand) only worked for a couple of months and I had to constantly keep resharpening my knives, this sharpener seems a lot more sturdier and the knives remain sharp for weeks before i have to sharpen them again. The actual size of the sharpener is quite small which is great for storage and very secure when attached to my work bench, so far I have had no issues with this at all, it does a fantastic job.

I purchased this for a present for my hubby, as he didn't like it current knife sharpener. I had seen reviews on this item, I looked the bronze look , so got that one. Hubby is very pleased, and said it's much better than our old one, he said it sharpens knives really well, and it doesn't take up much room either.

Nice and compact and the suction cup works well. It does sharpen, but it will leave the blade very jagged and damaged so this is definitely not to be used on high-quality knives. The worst thing for me though is the noise - it’s like dragging fingernails down a blackboard every time you pull the knife through. For that reason I really don’t think I can carry on using it. Great as a cat deterrent though - my cats literally ran away when I used it!

Als leidenschaftlicher Hobbykoch ist mir die Schärfe meiner Messer von großer Bedeutung. Daher war ich auf der Suche nach einem effektiven und einfach zu handhabenden Messerschärfer. Dabei bin ich auf den Messerschärfer mit Saugnapf gestoßen und möchte nun meine Erfahrungen teilen. Der erste Eindruck des Messerschärfers war sehr positiv. Das kompakte Design und die hochwertige Verarbeitung haben mich sofort überzeugt. Der Saugnapf an der Unterseite ermöglicht eine sichere Befestigung auf verschiedenen Oberflächen, was besonders praktisch ist, da man so beide Hände frei hat. Die Handhabung des Messerschärfers ist denkbar einfach. Man platziert das stumpfe Messer in den Schleifschlitz und zieht es mehrmals durch. Dabei spürt man förmlich, wie die Klingen wieder schärfer werden. Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass der Schleifwinkel bereits vorgegeben ist, sodass auch Anfänger problemlos ihre Messer schärfen können. Ein weiteres Highlight des Messerschärfers ist die integrierte Sicherheitsvorrichtung. Durch einen kleinen Hebel wird verhindert, dass das Messer zu tief in den Schleifschlitz rutscht und somit Beschädigungen vermieden werden. Die Ergebnisse des Messerschärfers haben mich vollends überzeugt. Meine stumpfen Küchenmesser wurden innerhalb kürzester Zeit wieder rasiermesserscharf. Sowohl Gemüse als auch Fleisch lassen sich nun mühelos schneiden, ohne dass ich viel Kraft aufwenden muss. Auch die Haltbarkeit der Schärfe ist beachtlich, sodass ich nicht ständig nachschärfen muss. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt ist jedoch die Lautstärke des Messerschärfers. Beim Schleifvorgang entsteht ein relativ lautes Geräusch, was auf Dauer etwas störend sein kann. Hier wäre eine Geräuschdämmung wünschenswert. Alles in allem bin ich mit dem Messerschärfer mit Saugnapf äußerst zufrieden. Er erfüllt seine Aufgabe zuverlässig und liefert scharfe Ergebnisse. Die einfache Handhabung und der sichere Halt durch den Saugnapf machen ihn zu einem praktischen Helfer in der Küche. Lediglich das laute Geräusch beim Schleifen könnte verbessert werden. Dennoch kann ich den Messerschärfer mit Saugnapf jedem empfehlen, der seine Messer schnell und effektiv schärfen möchte.

I was so excited to find this amazing knife sharpener on Amazon. I bought my first one on GMA years ago and proved very durable. I preferred the metal over the plastic, both worked fine, just my preference. Finally it wore out, it wasn't sharpening my knifes anymore. In the description it says it last 2 years, well mine worked for over 4 years. This was the ONE sharpener that I could use and it worked!! I had tried so many, and some were expensive. Forget the way you must hold one of those sharpening "sticks" and the angle it has to be held....ARGH! I keep AnySharp next to my knife block. It's small, out of the way, until I need a knife sharpened. So easy to use and safe to achieve a really sharp blade. My video shows a very dull knife.
