Great tool for for kids, hands on. They can see the quality of the number. My son absolutely loves this.

I was very tempted by the $300 Nienhuis set with glass beads but couldn’t justify the price. After opening this, I’m so glad I chose it instead. The quality is good for home use and it doesn’t feel so “cheap” as to take away from learning. What impressed me the most is that it’s not just a few random beads, but a full set that will serve all kinds of lessons, with enough of each bead type, sets of number cards, and some well-chosen wooden trays too. This set plus a set of the colored beads should take you through preschool math, making it a worthwhile investment at a great value.

I bought this set specially because the description said 8mm beads. I made a DIY set of math bead bars using 8mm craft beads. They look great. But most of the authentic montessori golden bead sets use 6 or 7mm beads and that doesn't work if I'm trying to make a 10 bead bar look bigger than my bar of 9. The description said 8mm so I went for it. They are not 8mm. At best they are 7.5mm. A tiny bit bigger than my authentic golden 10 beads I have but definitely smaller than my craft beads. I think I'll just have to make myself some 10 bars using 8mm craft beads for our teens learning and pivot to these once we are using the hundreds and thousands. The number cards are decent though currently warped. I'm hoping they will flatten out with time.

This really helped my son with his math. I used with my students as well. The price is worth it for the quality and the educational value.

This is a nice set and affordable enough to have in the home to help children learn math concepts. I hate to leave a negative review but one thing bothered me enough to send them back. The 100 squares are made of molded plastic and fused together into one piece. When 10 are stacked atop each other to demonstrate equivalency to the 1000 cube, they slip into the recesses of the lower 100 square and do not equal the height of the 1000 cube. When showing the child that 10 100 squares equals a thousand cube, it should be so visually.

Pretty happy with this. Use it in my Montessori homeschool. My kid loves using it in math. Amazing quality.

This set is a good set of beads. They are fused, but very good quality. They give you a lot of stuff for your money. You get trays and storage boxes. It also comes with two sets of small numbers and one set of large numbers. It’s absolutely worth it! I was pleasantly surprised and really love it!
