Awesome Ash pan, feels sturdy. Good quality packaging to prevent dings or dents too, that shows pride in their product in my opinion. Fits in my side smoker and my full size grill so now I want a second one. Would highly recommend.

I own a Char-Griller Legacy model 2190 and I bought the 15-28” charcoal tray. My overall about this product is that it seems more robust than the original, seems very well made, fit was good and packing was very good. Assembly was easy and I think it will serve me well. Only 4 stars? Yes, only 4. It requires bolts for assembly, 13 bolts were shipped but only 7 nuts, or a show stopper. The new tray was 15” deep and the original was 17” so it’s a bit smaller (see the picture) but I think it will be fine. Each end of the tray has a lifting bracket that bolts on, the originals were welded. The tray is lifted/lowered by 2 arms on each side. The instructions indicate attaching the arms to the lifting tab with the included bolts but I was 1 nut short. I was also hesitant to use bolts to attach the lifting arms since they need to rotate as the tray moves up/down. I wound up using the original pins secured with small hitch pins which allow the needed rotation (see the 2nd picture). The tray telescopes to allow width adjustment, I needed about 27” and the max width is shown to be 28” so it works but sags a bit in the center so I used 2 more bolts to secure the left/right sections to each other. Overall I’m pleased with my purchase and feel it will serve well.

This replacement Ash Pan 27" tray is made with thicker sheet metal and bars than the one that came with my Char-Griller... The original part lasted well for more than 5 years, but this replacement is heavier duty so I am expecting it will last even longer and be less prone to sagging bars from.the intense heat of direct contact with the charcoal. An excellent quality purchase, but look out for special offers as the price varies wildly with the seasons!
