What I love about this book is that it dispels the number one lie that is being spread in the sales tech industry: "This amazing new AI-based (product name) will eliminate the time and hassle of prospecting!!!!" Just like social selling was going to eliminate prospecting... and email... and video.... and........ Jeb and Anthony make it very clear, that AI when used well will enhance your prospecting, research, discovery, and closing NOT REPLACE IT. Think about it, if a $19.95 per month ChatGPT account could do the job, why is your company going to pay you??????? The most useful aspect of this book is the examples of prompts that you can use in any large language model to help make your job more effective. From prompts to help with research, to prompts that help generate questions. From prompts to help compare competitors to prompts to give you feedback on your writing, this book arms you to become a power user of these new tools. So let's all agree, that if you are a TRUE sales professional, these new tools will not replace you. But if you are a TRUE sales professional, these new tools will make you more effective, more trusted, and even more successful. I would not be able to evaluate whether this book is or is not deeply technical on the subject of AI. However, this book is not written for experts in AI, or LLM theory. This book is written for sales professionals who want to leverage AI to enhance, or even transform their sales process. It accomplishes that extremely well. There is ample background material on the AI basics and basics on how the LLMs generally "think". Using that background material, Blount and Iannarino do an EXCELLENT job of presenting and describing use cases for each stage of the sales process that can, in fact, enhance, or even transform your sales process. MUST READ for any sales professional.

Great resource for sales people who want to capitalize on AI technology
I am not an AI expert. I would not be able to evaluate whether this book is or is not deeply technical on the subject of AI. However, this book is not written for experts in AI, or LLM theory. This book is written for sales professionals who want to leverage AI to enhance, or even transform their sales process. It accomplishes that extremely well. There is ample background material on the AI basics and basics on how the LLMs generally "think". Well written fot hose not familiar with using AI already
The book does a solid job of explaining some of the basic methods and information for someone wanting to leverage current AI tools for the first time. I think we're still at a point where many of those in sales outside of SaaS and other tech industries haven't dipped their toes into AI much yet, or maybe feel a little intimated, and it explains the pros and cons well, while doing a good job at pointing out the reality: don't be afraid it's going to 'take your job', use it as a tool to make your routine and methods even better. For someone who already uses many of these tools already, there isn't honestly going to be much there, or anything new, so I would definitely say it's more geared for the beginner. Even the sections that reinforced some solid sales techniques and ideas, they weren't new, and would more benefit someone on the newer side. All in all, a well done book with some solid information, but not necessarily one for those already using AI tools in their operations. I think the perfect book for those who many haven't gotten their feet wet and but don't know where to start.

If you are in sales and not yet an active AI user, start here

The Real Question is: What Edge Will AI Give You?
This is my seventh Jeb Blount book and by now his message, tone and style are consistent, many times repeating what bears repeating. The AI Edge is no different. AI should serve us in sales and absolutely, unequivocally will aid your in your "Fanatical Prospecting," research and writing efforts. I know AI has personally helped me in prospecting and has saved time. AI is turning Google search on its head. What used to take 1/2 hour can be culled, curated and served up in seconds with AI. AI keeps evolving, and Jeb Blount acknowledges this fact, that this book will already be somewhat dated by the time it reaches your hands, however I still found it useful and Jeb always motivates me to be successful versus delusional. AI is a powerful tool and gift. Use it honestly and it will serve you. Is AI a proverbial "silver bullet?" Sorry, you'll still have to trust and verify to master it. And work. Also, AI comes with caveats, but AI is a gift that we are lucky to be witnessing and experimenting with. The only question is: What Edge will AI give you?

Good AI content....once you get to it.
The first part of the book is mainly fodder from Jeb's previous books. Once you skip to about Chapter 18 it has great info for prompts and ai prospecting.

AI Instruction manual for salespeople
As a salesperson I'm obligated to show up to clients and prospects well informed about them and the key issues they are facing. Long gone of the days of showing up to a meeting with questions designed to uncover a prospect's pain points. A modern sales process requires us to show up already knowing what challenges the client/prospect is facing, and be armed with key insights about what will solve those challenges. This book provides great insight into how AI can be leveraged to do just that. I suspect this book will be continuously updated with new versions as the capabilities of AI rapidly develop. Definitely worth reading this one.

Jeb delivered like never before!
Jeb and Anthony have written the most impactful and relevant book for today’s sales professional in over past ten years. Just like an any good coach, they have assembled the perfect guide through critical basics and then onto more advanced subjects. AI is here, and those that understand its strengths, weaknesses, vulnerabilities, and value will win more often and at a faster pace than those around them. This book has already made an impact with me and our company that will continue to resonate for years. Their refreshing and innovative perspective is grounded and profoundly applicable to everyone in sales today. Read it. Read it again, and get everyone on the team to do so as well.
