Wow, really impressed with these. My old AKG monitor headphones were still working beautifully (I've had them and used them a lot over 8 years) but the earpads were falling apart leaving bits of black stuff on my ears after use. Ordered these, received them the next day through Prime and fitted them. They are SO comfortable. A little bit fiddly to fit but worth the effort. And a lot less expensive than a new pair of headphones!

I bought the black cooling gel version to replace original AKG K550 MkIII ear cups on which the leatherette started to disintegrate badly after 4 years of heavy use. These replacements are perfectly comfortable with the slim arms on my glasses frame. I'm already considering buying more to keep as backup for the future. The seal around my ears is better than the AKG originals, blocking out more environmental noise and emphasising the lower frequencies more. I was surprised at the difference when I listened to my headphone testing tunes; there is now proper bass on tracks where I felt it was previously lacking with the original ear cups. Obvious examples: Time Squared by Alex Plant, Get It by Run The Jewels. The many other genres of music I listen to still sound great. The new ear cups were tricky to fit, requiring some patience. Once you have managed to get one small part of the lip in place in the recess, hold onto that part very securely while you stretch the part nearest to it and allow it to slip into place, etc.

They seem decent so far, they feel pleasant and make a good seal around my ears. I was a bit worried initially as they looked too small for my K550, but despite that I was able to fit them without any issue. This is my 3rd pair of replacement pads now, so I'm hoping the price justifies the build quality rather than just the cooling feature, but only time will tell. The instructions for the cooling feature say something about putting water "in the bottle cap", but I had no cap included, just the dropper. I tested it and it definitely had an effect, though it ran out pretty fast. It only says "choose the amount of droplets based on personal preference, but avoid choosing too much", which is not very helpful at all, so next time I'll try with more water.

Ok, so I have only had these for about two weeks so far but if they stand the test of time, they will be amazing. I bought them for my AKG K-92's and they fit around my ears perfectly in support of the closed-back design. They are significantly more comfortable than the originals and yes, even cooler too. So definitely 5 stars to date, and I am considering ordering another pair for the semi-open AKG-K240's if they will fit.

Bought for my AKG K550 Mk2 because the ear pads had disintegrated and were horrible (see picture) New pads are good for quality and fit perfectly, (watch a YouTube video to see the easy way to fit them)

I wasn't aware that you could replace the earpads on headphones until I saw these on Amazon. They are an excellent replacement for my tatty old earpads and far more comfortable. A little tight to fit but worth the effort.

Purchased for AKG 550 MkII at a considerable saving from the outrageous price quoted by Harmon Kardon a few years ago, my headphones are no longer languishing in a drawer. They are a tight fit, very comfortable (definitely cooler than the originals) over a couple of hours listening & no apparent audio degradation, will be purchasing another pair as spares.

Took about half an hour to fit and had aching hands and fingers afterwards, however they are an impressive addition to my K550s that can be used again with no black cheeks! (If you know, you know). Very comfortable in use. Highly recommended.

Perfetto con AKG K72. I pad nuovi sono di qualità superiore rispetto a quelli originali, danno molto più isolamento e nel mio caso , portando gli occhiali, danno una sensazione di leggerezza e comodità superiore. Montaggio istantaneo (le ho tirate tutto attorno rimboccando i lembi anziché ruotare il cuscinetto tutto attorno come suggerito, mi sono trovato meglio così) in un minuto li ho montati entrambi.

J'ai acheté un casque AKG K72 la semaine dernière. J'ai trouvé les coussinets d'origine trop plates et inconfortable, d'où l'achat de celles cies. En ce qui concerne les dimensions physiques, elle sont exactes. Le gel refroidisseur fonctionne également, on le sent. Réduction du bruit ambiant, par rapport aux coussinets d'origine est très bonne je dirais 2 fois mieux. Au niveau du confort, c'est largement mieux, elles épousent mieux la forme de la tête autour de l'oreille. Je ne regrette absolument pas mon achat. A voir maintenant combien de temps elles vont durer.

These are fantastic! I didn't realise how important earpads are to the sound signature of headphones until i bought some other cheap ones from AliExpress. The porous "cooling" design ruined the sound signature - unbearably harsh. Now I bought these and they are great quality. They really are cooling when you put them on. But they've also made these headphones sound FANTASTIC! I installed them on Superlux HD672, which seem to be roughly an AKG K240 clones, and wow they sound great. The bass is so firm, and the balance from bass to treble is so smooth. So much better than the original flat car tyres and then porous breathable pads. I really can't recommended these earpads enough. Everything I hoped and more. They sound and feel like a $400 pair of headphones now. As good as my Beyerdynamic, AKG and KRK cans. But now more comfortable.
