Belkin F1D9401-12 Enterprise 12' Dual Port USB KVM Cable

I've seen some comments by people claiming to have trouble attaching cables to these KVMs. I had no such issues with this. Make sure you have the nuts screwed in on either side of the receptacle, and that they don't come out when you're removing the cables. I deducted one star from ease-of-use because the thumb screws are a bit awkward to turn with your fingers, being right next to the big, bulky cable boot.

This was an additional to several that we already use - they function perfectly - just be sure and screw them in place to get a good connection.(as always) Good quality cable.

If your going to buy this cable it's because you have a Belkin KVM and don't have a choice. I just wanted to warn everyone that Belkin is no longer (easily) taking these cables back under warranty. Which Belkin's warrant was really the only thing that made them worth buying. The company I work for have thousands of these cables and they die or break all the time, for the last 5 years we had no problems getting Belkin to honor their warranty, but at the end of 2012 they removed these part numbers from their support website. You now have to call the support number (which is hidden deep on their site) go though the troubleshooting with a "tech" to get a ticket number then they give you another number to call (and wait on hold again) to get a person that will ask for you to email them proof of purchase. After you email them the proof, then no sooner then 60 days later, a customer service rep will call you to give you a RMA number. At that point you can then ship the cables to them for replacement. The total process took about 3 months and an hour and half on the phone. There is a email address on the support site, don't bother with it, I sent over 20 emails to it over 2 months and only ever received the auto reply of "We'll answer you email as soon as possible". 6 months later, still no reply.

The cables work good and I like them better than the last USB/VGA KVM switch cables we used. However, the Belkin KVM switch we have loses connnectivity and needs to be re-started regularly.

Can't go wrong with Belkin. This has worked for years now and still going. We used these for all our Dell servers.

Product is as described and functions as desired when connected to KVM.
