I have vent free gas logs. If I buy one of these do I still need a deflector hood?

Hello SJMaye, a deflector hood is not necessary when installing these doors. Please refer to our sizing worksheet here: https://goo.gl/R2EBoV which includes the overall dimensions of the doors, to determine which size will work best in your opening and with already installed hoods. -GHP Group Customer Support
