This stuff is amazing and works on both pee and poop. Everyone likes to be all cute and dance around the subject on these reviews, but I’m here to tell you what’s up. I’m chronically ill and don’t have the luxury of waiting till I get to a toilet or “holding it” like all of these reviewers who claim they’ve only used it for pee. And this stuff works like a dream. I used this in a bucket toilet we use in our camper van. It has a plastic seat on top of a 5-gallon bucket, with a bag lining the bucket. I had always used kitty litter inside the bag to absorb pee and cover the poop, but litter is heavy and dusty and smells like a cat box and I wanted a change. But I was scared to try this stuff even after buying it. You just don’t want to experiment much in this area, lest something not work and you be left with a disgusting mess. Well, in the middle of the night one night while camping in our van, I sat on my bucket commode and relieved myself. It was late and I’d had to go both 1 and 2 really bad, but in my haste, forgot to put kitty litter in the bag. Horrified at my mistake afterwards, I shook a packet of this stuff into the bucket and slammed the lid closed. I waited a few minutes and then peeked inside. And then I was relieved a second time! All of the waste, liquid and solid, had been turned into a mass of stiff gel—not a drop of liquid left—and it actually smelled amazing, believe it or not. It stayed in the van all night with the lid closed and there was literally ZERO odor. Cleanup was easy the next morning—remove the bag, tie it off, throw it out. There was still not an inkling of odor, just the pleasant natural scent of this product. I figured out on subsequent uses that you can just use a little bit of the powder to get the same results and don’t have to use an entire packet. I’m so excited that this stuff will replace 50 pounds of cat litter for our long trips, is more neat and clean to use, renders the damages completely odorless (even pleasantly scented if I let myself get really weird and honest about it), and makes cleaning up our bucket throne 100 times easier. I hope this review will help other people who aren’t shy about doing heeding nature’s call and just want a product that works.

Amazing stuff!!! This made our trip so much more comfortable! No walking down the campground street in the middle of the night to take care of business! I bought a pot-a-potty, for our maiden voyage of or new camper. Since we were novices and didn't know what we we doing, other than the trailering of the vehicle. Our campers toilet area is next to our bed. We used this eco friendly powder in the port-a-potty, it did an amazing job making jello of our contents! My husband would have been gripping and complaining if it didn't work and instead he was so thankful I bought it. When our trip was over, we packed it in the car to take care of it at home, with no oder, or spill issues. Put it in the disposable bag and place in in our regular trash. No one woul have know the contents of our bin! What a marvel!

I ordered this for our truck camper bc I'm sick of having to go out in the middle of the night to pee in all sorts of weather, fearing a bear is gonna sneak up on me or someone will see me. I pee several times through the night, sometimes up to 5 times. That was one of the biggest barriers to me enjoying camping. I ordered a small collapsible toilet to add this into, which comes with some bags you add and then pour this stuff in. I only used it for pee, the Eco gel seemed to work relatively well, but I did have some liquid left in when the evening was done. The only thing I don't like about this stuff is the bag did leak, bc the gel didn't fully solidify the liquid, so when it was time to put away we had to tie off the bag and toss it, then wipe down the toilet as much as we could, then use soap and water once back at home. It was gross. I plan to double bag from now on and see if that helps. I've also heard kitty litter works, that might be better for urine, but the Eco gel is much easier to have on hand, it comes in a small resealable bag with individual pouches you sprinkle in. I still recommend this, it's made camp life so much better and I've only used it once. Might invest in better bags once these run out, the Eco gel is lemongrass scented and covers any smell, it smells wonderful actually.

I’m not your average pee in a bottle, and throw it out the window truck driver. Most of the time, I have the time and access to facilities to relieve myself. However, for those times that I don’t, a urine bag, and a little Eco Gel does the trick. I use about a quarter of a single pack for one bag, which is a bathroom break overnight, then in the morning. How much of a solid you want your urine, is entirely dependent on how much you use. Additionally, the more you use, the more odor control you have too. As for covering up fecal odors, I don’t know, because I would rather use modern plumbing for that, but (pun intended) I assume that the same method applies for covering up urine odors. My only minute complaint would be, the packaging, on the individual packs, is pretty soft. So be careful kneading the gel powder before you use it. Otherwise, the package will tear, before you get it open. The plus side to that, is that the packaging is very easy to open. I highly recommend this for truck drivers, emergencies, and people who frequently travel the roads.

This product worked great on a very small scale. After 2-3 bathroom uses it needed to be replaced. I attempted to add 2 packages to see if that would help but it didn't seem to make much difference. The smell was fantastic, but expect it to need changing often.
