Not the strongest flavour
Even when roasted and ground there was not a strong szechuan flavour

This is the real deal when it comes to Sichuan peppercorns. The flavor is fresh, vibrant, and packs that signature numbing tingly sensation that makes Sichuan dishes so unique. I use these with an automatic grinder, and they grind perfectly every time. They’re not too bitter or overly spicy, just a great balance of citrusy and numbing, which is exactly what I wanted. It’s perfect for adding depth to my black pepper beef dish or any other Sichuan-style dish. Highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic, high-quality peppercorns!

To make this properly simply: pick out black "bulbs" (round things) and any notable stems -> get a pan up to heat (med-high) -> roast until they smell fragrant and/or get moist looking -> grind in a mortar and pedestal -> sift through a fine sifter/tea leaf holder/strainer -> sprinkle on. To make these improperly (LOL): chew them until your mouth is numb & spit out the debris left in your mouth Great price per gram!

It smells wonderul. It arrived with a hole in the pack. Hopefully, it's not a huge issue. I haven't tried it yet, but it appears that I have a legit product based on the aroma alone.
