How often can I use it , and for how long

Don't know. I use at least 2 hrs a day because there is no exertion.

Is this as good as walking if you can’t walk because of copd?

I purchased this for my mother-in-law to help with circulation because she has two very bad knees and sits all the time. She feels that it has helped her in the 2 weeks she has been using it.

What is the recommended use for an 86 year old woman?

I'm 82 and I watch TV and use it for long times. I love it... I push it far enough away from my legs so I don't put too much pressure on the foot pedals..

Is the legxercise worth buying for keeping your circulation going?

absolutely... it's ready to use as soon as it arrives unlike other styles that take putting it together.. I love mine
