Cressi Mask Strap Cover - Neoprene Headboard for Diving Masks

I make a large number of purchases through Amazon and I write a lot of Amazon reviews. They are based on my personal opinions gleaned as a result of decades of experiences in a professional occupation, as a consumer, a property owner and raising a family. This Cressi Mask Strap Cover is sold through Amazon at a cost of £4.25 as a prime item. Prime items come with a promise of included next day delivery. You cannot rely on the next day delivery promise. There is no indication as to any potential additional postage charges applicable to non prime members. The cover was delivered promptly alongside other orders I had placed. There are no fixing instructions although is easily and quickly sorted out as to what has to be done to attach it to a mask. There are what appear to be sewn slits on the rear side to the "cressi" logo. They are not slits but are the means by which Velcro or something similar has been attached to the interior of the strap cover/ Undo your mask strap on one side, make sure that you remember the manner in which it was assembled and to put the retainer for the strap end back in place. Feed the mask strap through one side of the cover and out the other. Position centrally and press on the sewn marks. In my case, some of the velcro attached inside the cover. Installation completed. OVERALL This cover works well with both of my unbranded snorkelling masks. My hair is quite short, maybe an inch at the longest point. I have not had much in the way of a problem putting masks on and off but my wife with longer hair has had the odd tug or two. This is a problem solver for such an issue. The cover is made of a neoprene stretchy but not quite elasticated substance. Experiences I have had with similar material enables me to say that this will dry out quickly. I use to hate the feeling from my mask on the back of my head, especially after a solid hour of snorkeling my hair would tangle up with the strap and sad moments followed. Saw a few rental places in the tropics have masks with these kind of straps but never thought I'd be able to get some to use with my existing one. The way you attach these things is simple but genius. There's a velcro type of patch inside so it will make sure that the cover stays in place and after using this for a week in the tropics and snorkeling every day I must say this was money well spent.

Great strap cover to stop rubbing and hold mask in position.

I've been a fan of these straps for a while but all the previous ones I've used actually replaced the silicone one completely. This strap cover actually requires you to pass the silicone head strap of your mask through the cover which isn't that easy. Luckily you should only have to do it once. Apart from this it's well made and makes diving more pleasurable.

Got this to go on my new cressi mask. Very happy with it, fits easily as you’d expect. Adds a nice buoyancy element for your mask when putting it on, on the surface and made it much easier to put on and off without strap getting caught in any hair.

I may have misunderstood the product description, however I was not aware this cover does not come with straps replacing the rubber straps for silicone mask. It means that original rubber mask strap has to be slid into two layers of neoprene cover and lives rubber part of it out, which clips in mask holders on either side. This product is designed to make back of head comfortable and does great job with that. The sides however still are rubber and they clip into the mask.

This has really solved the problem of my daughter long getting tangled and stuck in the mask strap. Great product- if a bit pricey

Faccio immersioni subacquee da ormai 14 anni e ho acquistato questo oggetto una decina di anni fa. Sembra un oggetto con funzione estetica ma non lo è assolutamente. Migliora notevolmente il comfort della maschera e riduce quella brutta sensazione di "tirata dei capelli" che capita, a volte, quando si sfila rapidamente la maschera. Da quando lo ho comprato non ne posso più fare a meno.
