Is the package sealed?

Hi The previous packaging was sealed but this type of packaging was all plastic I understand The company decide to become more environmentally friendly and now uses thick paper and it doesn’t have a seal as the last packaging did

HiThis particular product is for adults as the range is 60l/min to 780l/minThe child Miniwright has a range from 60-450l/minThe adult MW could be used but will not give the accuracy of the child MWAlso the child MW can have an adpator which has a smaller blow tube I hope this helps, Nebair does not sell the Child Mini wright RegardsAdamNebair

Can these be used by athlete (cyclist) to check fitness ?

Yes. Take a deep breath and blow into the Peak Flow Meter as fast as you can holding the device horizontal. You should get a reading of 500+ if you are under 35yrs and fit but as you get older the peak value gradually decreases. This device measures lung function and as a cyclist your lung function should be above average for a person of your age. Do the test 3 times, giving yourself 10 seconds between each test, and you can divide the total numbers of the 3 tests by 3 to give an average. If you have a pre-existing lung condition or are unfit your readings will be lower. To increase lung function exercise on your bike or by running for at least 30 minutes daily to increase your fitness.
