As with other Home Air Check products, the formaldehyde test is a professional-grade test offered in an easy-to-use at-home test kit, and the sample is analyzed by an accredited laboratory. Formaldehyde is a commonly used in the manufacture of building materials and numerous household products. At room temperature, formaldehyde vaporizes into the air, potentially causing serious problems. It is also a by-product of combustion processes.
