Powered my outdoor PoE cameras for over a year without issues. Please note these are quite chunky and you may need a relatively large box to install them outdoors if you are using a few and in my case I used four inside an electrical box.

I had a PoE camera that would not keep a constant connection. I inserted this extender about 100 meters from the camera with about 50 meters from the PoE Switch to this extender. There was an immediate improvement in connection. No more connection problems. It is an easy fix.

This all weather unit was put in place of one that had failed (by another company, although it had been installed for a number of years). Easy to install, it looks more solid than the previous one and it worked perfectly.

Couldn't do a zero. Did not have connectivity through 4 of the input wires. Hope the next one works.

Easy to use and install

I had high hopes with this premium product. But when I tried to install it at the midpoint of a 500 foot run, it did not work and I could not get it to work. I ordered a new one that was half the price and it worked perfectly the first time. Unfortunately I missed the return window. Otherwise I would’ve returned it. I did reach out to customer support, but I did not get a response immediately. But when they did, I explained the problem and my network topology. The refunded my purchase outside the Amazon return window, which was very unexpected.. Thank you cudy!

So far, so good. This unit has been up and running for about a month. It is outdoors in the middle of a 450' run. We placed it inside an outdoor junction box [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083R8X4RT?ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details&th=1]. We are very satisfied thus far.

The PoE camera was too far away from the NVR to work, but by adding this outdoor PoE Extender, it allowed us to have a camera at our mailbox, nearly 600 feet from the house.

Por encima de esta distancia, se necesita un extensor de este tipo para poder tirar otros 100 metros de cable. Funciona con tecnología PoE, que viene a decir que se alimenta directamente del cable Ethernet, pero éste, a su vez, tiene que venir de un router o switch que permita utilizar dicha tecnología. Tiene la gran ventaja de que no necesitamos cable de alimentación, pero sólo lo vamos a poder usar si tenemos router o switch PoE. El dispositivo destino final de este cable, una cámara de vigilancia o lo que sea, deberá ser también PoE o tener enchufe propio. La calidad de construcción es excelente, es un dispositivo robusto, con cuerpo de metal y roscas de plástico resistente. Viene con dos adaptadores para dar a las conexiones una protección IP67, o lo que es lo mismo, el polvo no tiene manera de entrar y resiste una inmersión a un metro de profundidad, durante 30 minutos. Por tanto, soportará estar a la intemperie siempre que no se deje encharcar y las temperaturas estén entre -20ºC y 55ºC.

Avevo bisogno di collegare una videocamera di sicurezza in giardino nella casa di mio figlio. La distanza tra il modem ed il punto d’interesse si trova a circa 70 metri. Il modello in prova può arrivare ad una distanza massima di ben 400 metri. Ho pensato ad una soluzione tramite questo dispositivo PoE che, in casi come questi, si rileva la soluzione definitiva.. Innanzitutto ha una eccellente impermeabilità essendo certificato ip67 e sopporta senza alcun problema il contatto anche con la polvere. Tale genere di dispositivo, con l’utilizzo di un solo cavo, trasmette dati ed alimenta altri dispositivi di rete, quale appunto può essere una videocamera di sorveglianza. In generale, tramite la tecnologia PoE, è possibile installare dispositivi in luoghi in cui sarebbe impossibile far arrivare l'alimentazione, come ad esempio nei controsoffitti. L'uso della funzionalità PoE consente di ridurre il numero di cavi e di prese elettriche richiesti in ambienti ad alta concentrazione di apparecchiature o all'interno di un armadio di cablaggio. Il protocollo utilizzato da Cudy POE15 è di ultimissima generazione essendo IEEE 802.3at/802.3af. per mezzo del quale la trasmissione dati risulta essere molto veloce. I connettori dell’extender sono a tenuta stagna sia in ingresso che in uscita ed è ha protezione contro le sovratensioni. La sua temperatura di esercizio va da -25 a +55 gradi. Considerato che la temperatura della zona arriva fino a – 20 dovrebbe sopportarla senza alcun problema, ma non avendone ancora la certezza, mi riservo di comunicarlo attraverso un aggiornamento della recensione nel caso in cui dovessi riscontrare dei problemi. Essendo una periferica plug and play, non richiede l’istallazione di alcun driver aggiuntivo. L’abbiamo collocata a parete servendoci di tasselli di buona qualità. Sta funzionando senza problemi fin da subito e siamo rimasti colpiti per la buona qualità dei materiali e la loro ottima tenuta. È un prodotto che consiglio, visto anche il prezzo di vendita, che trovo equo.

This is a great piece of kit that allows you to extend runs of POE Ethernet cable. Typically Ethernet has a limit of 100m lengths but this gadget uses the power provided over POE Ethernet to power itself and boost the single for another run of 100m. These devices can be chained a couple of times for really long runs. This means you don’t need a mains powered POE hub between lengths of cable. It comes with weather proof connectors and is quite compact. Overall a brilliant solution.
