Requires to drill 2 holes through the door, 13/16" Diameter (.8125 inch - 2.06 centimeter), and 3/8" Diameter (.375 inch - .95 centimeter). (See the installation positioning paper template in the pictures above, for the size and location of the 2 holes. To drill the holes, the actual paper template goes on the door, and it shows exactly where to drill the holes). Before purchasing please make sure that any existing holes in the door won't interfere with the holes required to install this door chime. Designed to fit wood and steel doors up to 4-3/4" thick. Has a one way 145 degree wide angle viewing lens. Outside metal faceplate measures 5"H X 2"W. The inside white plastic cover has a spring activated sliding viewer. Has paper tags to write apartment identification number and name. Mounting and fastening hardware includes only screws for wood doors. We manufacture and include self drilling screws for steel doors. The classic doorbell, exact replacement for the 1976 doorbell. Very well made. If you need the installation instructions, I don't know if they would help so much, but the installation is intuitive enough. Very clear and loud sound.

Written instructions were hard to understand. Good thing that I was replacing a like for like door bell. Other than that, it is a great product.

Perfect replacement
Almost exact replacement for 30 year old manual apartment doorbell. Used old push button and some hardware. Had to drill a few new mounting holes, but otherwise was a good fit!

False Advertising
This is the 2nd time i tried ordering one of these and the picture shows a completely different unit. This one is made of cheap plastic and not even the same brand. Completely false advertising
