is this pate or chopped or ???

The pate is pate, no chunks in it. The regular Tiki Cat AD is shredded meat in broth with chunks of organ meat.

Are the pate's a smooth consistency or are they gritty with ground up bones ? my cats have sensitive gums

Hi! Our pates will have a pate consistency, and only our Rabbit formula will contain ground bones in them. If you are looking for a softer consistency, we recommend our Velvet Mousse which is our softest food that is easy for a cat to lick up, without needing to chew.

Yes, grain-free. Mostly broth, shredded chicken, and depending on which variety, little bits of the other type of meat or egg.

Why is it called after dark?

Hello! The After Dark line of diets are highly palatable, chunky, all-meat foods with nutrient-rich organ meat to mimic a natural prey diet. Since cats tend to be nocturnal hunters, the diet was named after this primal characteristic.
