I bought this 9 years ago and I’m still using it today! It’s been used very frequently and has still help up wonderfully for me. Turns off on its own if it’s left on too long, heats up super quick, I can straighten or curl with it easily, and I’ve never once found it not capable of doing the job of what I need. Great product!

My expensive straightener died, so I bought this Remington as a cheap temporary replacement. I was honestly shocked by how hot it gets. It hits 450 degrees in about 30 seconds just like the box says, and it actually straightens my thick hair in one pass without frizz. The 60-minute auto-shutoff is also a nice bonus since I'm always paranoid about leaving hot tools on. But you can definitely tell why it’s so cheap when you hold it. The biggest issue is the plates-they don't sit flush unless you squeeze the handle really hard. If you have a lot of hair to get through, your hand is going to cramp. You also have to be careful not to pull too fast, because my hair occasionally snags in the little plastic gap right by the hinge. Also, just a heads-up: the power cord is pretty short (only 6 feet), and it’s only 120V, so you can't take it on international trips without frying it. It’s not as smooth as a $150 premium iron, but if you just need serious heat on a budget, it’s a great deal.

You can easily change the temperature quickly with the control buttons. The ceramic plates make your hair go through nice and smooth. The cord length is plenty long enough. Bought it as I really needed a straightener and needed asap, figured why not for under $50 and next day shipping. This is the best one i have bought in 15 years!! My last one i paid over $80 for (name brand too) and it sucked! Gave me the worst split ends and would leave my hair fluffy! I love the temp control on this! It also left my hair silky strait for days!! No Touch up needed (my hair is naturally curly). Also has a good weight to it so it doesn't feel cheap. Look no further as you have found the best bang for your buck here! Will recommend to anyone and if needed will buy again!

Big problem with this product is that it cannot be plugged into any Indian socket. You need an adapter or converter to use this product . Adapter is not included with this product. Otherwise its a good product quality wise.. does not damage your hair.. no stickiness after straightening
