What can I do if I have lost both key cards?

You would have to either remove the door via the hinges or one of the other sides. When the battery dies the lock remains closed.

What are the specific dimensions & power requirements for the external power cable? usb to 2.5mm (x 7mm) male? no usb converter in package.

I could be wrong but the other ones that include the usb cable appear to be a 3.5mm headphone jack cable to usb

Works great. I’ve had it for 4 years and have only changed the battery once. Very easy to program, and install. Heavy but not so heavy for t feels like it’s pulling against itself to come loose.
