Not your average salt lamp
I purchased the Makalu salt lamp form Ambion Lighting a few weeks ago. I think it is a modern to futuristic looking salt lamp with a design that differs from the standard. I think it looks really cool and is built well. If I had any complaints it would be to put a on off switch and a dimmer so I can adjust the brightness. I have to unplug it which is kind of annoying if the cord goes behind a dresser.

Buyer beware! Great with a huge problem...
UPDATE 8/19/18 from purchase 1.5 years ago I loved my Ambion lamps. They are well made and beautiful. A premium price delivered a premium product with a replaceable bulb. Yeah, the bulb, that's now where I feel I have wasted my money. I have to order from mainland China which wouldn't be a big deal if shipping wasn't $55.00. I order things from other sites and ship from China for cheap,, really cheap. Now to replace one bulb I have almost paid for another lamp. I am gonna figure out a way to retrofit a different light instead of throwing my four lamps away but its a real shame because I love them.
