My cat really seems to enjoy Iams ProActive Health! She eats it eagerly and seems more energetic and healthy since we started feeding it. The kibble size is perfect for her, and I feel good knowing it has nutrients for overall health, including her coat and digestion. It’s affordable compared to other premium brands, and so far, she hasn’t had any stomach issues. Overall, a reliable and tasty option that I feel good giving to my cat.

Even though this is marketed as cat food, it has become the absolute best choice for my hedgehogs. I’ve tried several brands over the years, including foods specifically made for hedgehogs, but none have given me the same results as this one. Since switching to IAMS, they’ve stayed healthier overall, with excellent digestion and more consistent energy levels. One of the biggest differences I’ve noticed is in their digestion — their poop is perfectly formed and easy to clean up, not sticky, watery, or too hard like it was with other foods. That alone makes a huge difference for their comfort and health. Their skin and coats also look healthier, and I’ve noticed improved activity and appetite since making the switch. Another unexpected bonus is that even my dogs love this food! They often sneak a few bites when I’m feeding the hedgehogs, which says a lot about the quality and taste. It’s packed with nutrients, easy to digest, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. If you’re a hedgehog owner or have other small animals, I highly recommend trying this. It’s a great, reliable staple that supports digestive health, overall wellness, and even picky eaters seem to love it.

Iams always used to be considered a premium cat food, similar to Science Diet and Nutro. When the company sold, the product seemed to be the same, but instead of competing in the ever-growing line of premium pet foods sold at pet supply stores, they reduced there prices and became a top of the market grocery brand. The price is reasonable enough that I can use it to feed the feral cats I’ve TNRed. After using good to trap them to be neutered and vaccinated, they guilted me into feeding them 2x per day. Since these cats don’t and probably never will have homes, they need all the help they can get!

As a pet owner who prioritizes both nutrition and value, I’ve been using Iams Proactive Health Adult Cat Food for my cat for several months. I would like to point out several noticeable benefits, while also considering areas for potential improvement. Nutritional Benefits: The inclusion of chicken as the primary ingredient is a strong point for me, and the food is specifically designed to support digestive health. The addition of fiber and prebiotics seems to be effective in improving her digestion, and there’s a marked reduction in litter box odor, which is a significant benefit for me. The kibble is small enough for easy chewing, even for smaller cats, and the crunchy texture may help with dental. Which are both pluses for me. Taste & Palatability: My cat seems to enjoy the taste, which is always an important factor, the cat food does not dry out or go stale quickly. Price Point: Iams is mid range for me, I spend about 33.00 for the large bag. Con- the only major con I have with this product is I with the bag was resealable. So if you open the bag please be aware if you keep it open the food will go stale.

This is a very good cat food product.

This is a very large bag of food and the price I paid for it was way below any store price I could find for the same food. With three cats and one cat that just LOVES food, being able to save money is a great benefit. All my cats love this food and it seems to have even helped with them to not throw up hairballs as much as they did in the past with other foods that labeled their product to reduce hairballs. Plus, I didn’t have to go and lug the food into my cart and then checkout and then my car and then into the house once I purchased it. I would definitely recommend!

Great for the price and came pretty quickly compared to other options. Does the job for my adult cat an would recommend getting it if you’re unable to find it in person

Full disclosure: I have not tried this cat food myself. My cat has tried it though and he seems to like it. This isn't the best cat food available but it is a decent choice for the price point. I can't speak to how filling it might be compared to other brands because our adult kitty is new to us. He's a young cat and it quite energetic. Since he eats well and he is thriving, I'm assuming the food is good. I wish I knew where the ingredients were sourced, but the ingredients themselves aren't the absolute best. However, this is a decent compromise of value and nutrition. Our local SPCA uses this brand, and while it's because Iams donates it to them, I cannot fathom they'd feed something unsafe to their furry guests. The fact that Iams donates all the food the shelter needs is a plus for the brand.
