I noticed a difference in scar quality after applying a glob of this to my scar every day for 30 days straight. It was a big scar on my FACE so it was super important to get a product that worked.....it even lightened some if my acne scars. It does take a while to show the difference, but it 100% works. The scar was level 10 visible, now it's around a level 4 after a month. Lifesaving. Use it at night because it pills a little (especially under makeup). The smell is negligable. Similar to aloe gel in consistency

Takes time, but works
Mederma is one of those treatments where patience is key—you won't see an overnight miracle. I've used it on both old and new scars (not on my face), and over time, I've noticed that it does seem to lighten them - just not completely. I'm a bit accident-prone, so I have lots of scratches, bug bites, and small cuts, and this gel helps reduce the appearance of those everyday marks. The texture is easy to apply and absorbs without leaving a greasy feel. If you're looking for gradual, consistent results on scars, this is a solid option.

Not what I thought
The gel is a bit runny and thin and doesn’t stay on the scar tissue as well as I would like. Maybe the ointment is a little thicker. The gel is more expensive as well.

If you're expecting a scar, buy this (but buy the smaller tube)
I wish I wasn't too tired/lazy to add pics. Foot surgery, thick slice the length of my foot, 3 mos later you can hardly see a scar. My Sis had older scars that took awhile longer, but those too almost completely faded.
