Fantastic quality! But you have to learn to handle and care for them. I’ve worked in kitchens for decades and I can tell you that better tools are not always designed to merely out perform in terms of durability, but to also make the mechanical aspects of your work more pleasing. If it is neglected, like any other type of blade, it will dull and rust. It cuts smoother and easier than any other shears I’ve ever used, but fine edges require a bit more mindfulness during use and more maintenance. As long as you’re willing to take on a little more burden and spend more money, then these shears will be a pleasure to use for a lifetime.

Seriously just buy these. Are you looking for hardy well made Japanese craftsmenship in the kitchen? Why would you reach for those old plastic-handled dull sheers instead of these? Ergonomic, sharpenable, quality accessible sheers. I might just buy more to hand out to friends.

Great quality, easy to wash, feels sturdy, like it was bit too last. Easy to disassemble. Zero complaints, feels like a good buy.

I gave the scissors 4 stars because the attachment point floats. If you don't hold it in place, you can't attach the other half after cleaning. The scissors are very well made.

I like these a lot. They disassemble easily but have a nice tight fit and cut well.

Razor sharp. Almost too sharp. Absolutely rock solid, come apart when you need them to for cleaning, stay together perfectly when in use. Cut all the way from the base to the tip too. They are probably more for precision work than true brute force cutting like some kitchen shears, but they are beautiful nevertheless.
