Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt-13 oz (Pack of 2)

This is the best kosher salt I have used for the last 3 yrs for cooking. esp for seasoning & grilling meats. I only use this salt. This item used to be carried by local grocer for many years until the local grocer went out of business. Amazon sells this kosher salt at a lower price than the grocer i used to purchase from. Have been looking for this product for a while. This kosher salt is much better than using mortons sea salt because it has a little bit more grind to the salt than Morton's salt which is just the opposite. Morton's salt can't dissolve into the food when cooking and remains solid and leaves different texture and taste.

I originally bought this in order to have a pure, additive-free salt to use in my Neti Pot (aka Nasal Irrigator) once my local market started only carrying Morton's Kosher Salt (it has anti-caking agents). It fits the bill and is cheap too. I recently started cooking with it, and of course, it works well in this capacity. Its flake size is nice on food as a condiment as well - it doesn't just bounce off french fries, for example.

We have uses this product after being introduced to it by a close friend who is the Executive Chef at a Michelin rated restaurant in San Francisco. So we were not debating on the quality of the salt. The question we be the service focused on the on time delivery. Well we were not surprised at all when we received the expected two day shipment in one day. So how could we say anything but a 5 star performance once again by Amazon and their suppliers.

I like cooking with this salt. It easy to pinch the crystals and sprinkle over food while cooking. I poor some into a glass custard cup with lid and refill it as necessary. Lasts quite awhile and keeps well in its container. If you enjoy cooking whole foods (not processed) then this is a perfect salt to season your food.

I bought this because Chrissy Teigen's cookbook says it's better. She's correct. This stuff is so great for cooking with. It's a different flavor profile and not as salty as normal salt. We're using it on everything now.

One of two canisters were damaged and salt was leaking out.

Had a difficult time finding this at our local stores but Amazon to the rescue. Had to buy two containers but shared one with our daughter-in-law. Great quality....well pleased. Would order again whenever we use up this container. No comparison to regular salts you buy at your local grocery store.

Love this salt. It is the one used by America's Test Kitchen, so no need to adjust recipes when you use it. No metallic taste like iodized others. And, surprisingly hard to find in grocery stores here.
