All sorts of misdirection can be done with some creative photography but this is definitely a hit. Exactly what I needed to configure an easy system to backwash my pool without letting any of the waste water leave my property. There are no storm drains where I live and washing dirty water full of chemicals out to the street and down to the sump to percolate down to the water table is not legal. Using these fittings, some tough 2" fire hose and PVC piping/fittings, I was able to cobble together an arrangement that gets the backwash into my home's waste line which is all that is acceptable. Fits the hose perfectly, works great and it looks like it will last. Recommended!
