It looks like this is flared at the muzzle end. Will this accommodate a 4" barrel Shield? It is ok if it protrudes.

It is not flared but rather rolled over to be almost a closed end. I assume this is for comfort, but no the longer slide shield would not fit this one they may have a model that it would however.

Will this fit a Kahr MK40?

Thanks for reaching out. This particular holster will not be able to fit your MK40. Please give us a call at 1-800-GUNHIDE so that we can help you find an IWB holster for your Kahr.

Is this for shield 9mm or .40 or .45?

It fits the 9mm & the .40. NOT the .45.

Does it scrates the the frame or slide?

I have been using this holster for some time now, and it has not given any marks on my Shield.
