My son turned me onto this flavor and brand. The flavor is good I have bought this drink for several years now.

I originally found these on Thrive. The first flavor I tried was cookies and cream. Now, I've never been a fan of that flavor but Owyn makes it delicious. Then I found them at my local Fresh Market and I've been consistently purchasing the dark chocolate flavor from there and I actually am a big dark chocolate fan and Owyn doesn't disappoint. It's one of my favorite recent finds. I didn't originally have high expectations at all because I've been consistently disappointed by protein shakes. Well, low expectations must be the key to life because I am super impressed, this is the best protein shake I've ever had and I'm so glad that it's a hardy, plant based one that finally hit the spot. I love that it has broccoli, kale and spinach. I'm going to try the powder in the near future and I'm hoping it tastes like this. I'll also be trying different flavors because I have been religiously buying the dark chocolate. The Fresh Market only sells them in singles, plus they're super expensive there, so I'm glad Amazon has them in bulk. I still buy them from Thrive in my monthly autoship, because they're a little cheaper. But with Amazon Prime, I get them a little faster. Amazing!!!!! Highly recommend. Edit (11/27/21): Since writing this review, I've actually been buying them directly from the Owyn website because they cost exactly the same with free shipping and I just feel more secure buying them directly from the manufacturer. Still, love them.

I got it! Second time. Testy and delicious!

This is a great shake for lifting your energy before a workout, sipping to stay hydrated during a workout, and a quick recovery after a workout, when you can’t wait until you get home!

I am a lifelong vegetarian, and, I’m old, sooooo…. I have tried possibly every plant product out there. I also happen to have significant intestinal problems requiring a multitude of surgeries. With both of these issues you can probably guess that I have a hard time fulfilling my protein requirements along with my personal convictions. A friend was pushing all sorts of things on me while I was going through a rough patch and this drink was one of those. I was skeptical at first about the taste. NO WORRIES there! It tastes fantastic, much better than other plant based drinks. Also, no whey (!!!!) yippee. I loathe whey and until more recently you couldn’t find a plant based ready made shake that was any good. I have tried the other flavors from Owyn as well, but find this one the most delicious and of consistently high quality. I also appreciate the fact that they have terra packs, so, less single use plastic (!!). I have this on subscribe & save and am even considering 2 units because I could definitely drink more than I am. Bottom line, whether you want as a snack (low calorie) or meal replacement (high protein and nutrients), you won’t be disappointed with these!

Perfect for a quick snack

Highly recommend!Most protein shakes have whey and either lot of sugar or sugar gar alcohols; all of the above wreak havoc on the GI tract. The simple ingredients in these shakes are easily digestible and are nutritious. Better when refrigerated, they are chocolates, but of course are not as creamy as their dairy-filled counterparts. That said, they’re as close as I’ve found. Save some money and lower your carbon footprint by getting the OYIN powder and mixing with cold Rice Dream.

I was hoping to use this to replace my current protein shake that has a higher sugar content. Sadly, it isn't for me. It has a chalky after texture, and the chocolate flavor isn't quite right for me. That coupled with the higher price for less shakes, makes me regret getting a 12 pack. I do like that this has a better quality ingredient list, is vegan, has less sugar while keeping the protein content, and that it is less calories than my current brand. It just isn't something I can get used to drinking, as for chocolate, my taste buds are super picky and it doesn't hit the creamy notes I like.
