AcuRite (00509A1) Color Weather Forecaster for Temp, Humidity, Forecast

Has worked flawlessly for 2.5 years then this week the outside temp was way off versus my 5 in 1 main weather station I keep in my office, was off by 10* degrees difference..I open it up and 1 of the solder's had broken off, I was able to resolder, but its still not re-sensing the correct temp outside, so I'll be buying a new senson for 12.99 from amazon..still I give it high marks for accuracy and ease of use, I figure its outside where nothing last forever

Bought this to replace a very old version which died from battery corrosion/leaking. The outdoor unit hangs unobtrusively, and the indoor unit sits on table near window between two recliners. Works great, very handy and accurate.

The color display is bright and easy to read. This weather station is a good value.

Works great. Accurate. Color makes it easy to see. Two downsides. 1. The receiving unit must be plugged in for it to stay on. If you run the receiver on battery only, it goes into sleep mode after a few seconds. 2. If you hang it on the wall, you have to stand directly in front of it to see the display. I have to use mine with the provided stand and sit it on a table so that it is just below my line of sight if I want to see it while sitting.

Nice colors, numbers, images, easy on the eyes. This is my second one. Good product!

Better quilaty than most and it has a calabration setting that lets you set the correct tempature.

I love this thing. I would not get this for the forecasting ability, but rather it is a colorful little gadget for the weather geek like myself. Looks nice on the counter or bookshelf and very accurate temperature readings both in and out. I am quite happy with this purchase. Not too bright and you can adjust the brightness. In short, it is what is described by the manufacturer and I would obtain this again.

It's fine for what it is, and it works well, but (a) the screen is really bright, so it lights up my kitchen counter (not my intent) and (b) the colors are fixed - they're the colors of the glass or background.

I live in a condo building and this is the third product I have used from this company. The previous two worked excellent. The last one I bought did not have an ABC switch, and was totally useless because apparently there was interference from another of their products from somewhere nearby. After much testing, and emails back and forth with the company, I finally decided to return it and look for a model from the same company that did have that ABC switch. Accurite has many models and some quite expensive but I only wanted a basic model but sadly Amazon does not carry that model. I did however find one, about $80 and it also has the ABC switch which allows me to change the frequency it operates on, thus eliminating interference. Great company with great products, but make sure you buy a model with the ABC switch if you live in a very populated area.

It was exactly what I was looking for. Big clear numbers and one I could read at night. Perfect. Paul Miller

It's only Fahrenheit

A very nice display. The indoor temperature reading value started to fail .... i.e. One of the diodes failed so the reading was somewhat compromised. No biggy. We just wanted outdoor temp anyways. Now, after 2 years, the sensor has outright failed. I have kept it TOTALLY sheltered in a wood shed so it never saw rain or snow. A little disappointing. We are going to give it one more try and buy another.

I liked the fact that the outside temp. is very easy to read but the time , inside temp. and date are small and difficult to read especially if you need to wear glasses.
