Review: Chef's kiss - Really nice set for ultralight camping and hiking! The nesting design packs down incredibly well, saving valuable space in my pack, and everything feels durable and thoughtfully designed. Lightweight, compact, and reliable which is exactly what I was looking for in a backcountry cook system. Review: Great cook set... - We bought this set to take backpacking and camping with us and it performs flawlessly. You can boil water amazingly quick. We have the MSR Pocket Rocket (Also an amazing product) and this set can boil water or heat up anything you want in a flash. The weight is (obviously) a bit more than some of the titanium sets out there, but really is perfect for everything that you get. The pots are very easy to clean up, just make sure and not use metal cookware to stir anything so you don't scratch up the non stick finish. The mugs are great for keeping your drink warm or cold, and are a very comfortable shape that fits naturally in your hand. The set stacks together perfectly and has enough room to keep collapsible sporks or whatever you use inside. The detachable handle fits both pots snugly and very securely. If you have both pots going at once you can easily move the handle between both to do whatever cooking needs to be done. The included bowls/plates aren't anything fancy, but they do their job perfectly. Altogether a perfect set for 2 people, I highly recommend it! ## Features - Two-person backpacking cookset is lightweight (1 pound 12 ounces), compact (packed size 7.75 x 5 inches), and efficient for backcountry trips - Includes 1.5L hard-anodized non-stick aluminum pot, 2.5L hard-anodized aluminum pot, strainer lid, 2 deep dish plates, 2 insulated mugs, pot handle - Camp cookware features a smaller non-stick coated pot for sauces and simmers, and a larger uncoated pot for boiling water and meal prep - Polypropylene deep-dish plates can accommodate any meal, and 12.5-ounce mugs are insulated with sip-thru lids; plates and mugs are color-coded - All cook set components nest within the 2.5L pot for easy packing; set can be adapted to size of group and length of trip ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B008NOP21C | | Best Sellers Rank | #452,844 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #131 in Camping Mess Kits | | Brand Name | MSR | | Care instructions | Machine Wash | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 316 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00040818065976, 00040818216057 | | Included Components | 1 Talon pot handle, 1 strainer lid, 1.5L hard-anodized non-stick aluminum pot, 2 DeepDish Plates, 2 insulated mugs, 2.5L hard-anodized aluminum pot | | Item Type Name | Camping Cook Set | | Item Weight | 1.8 pounds | | Manufacturer | Cascade Designs Inc. | | Manufacturer Part Number | 040818065976 | | Material Type | Aluminum, Polypropylene (PP), Stainless Steel | | Model Number | 040818065976 | | Number of Pieces | 7 | | Origin | Imported | | Set Name | MSR Quick 2 Camping Cook Set | | UPC | 040818065976 040818216057 408182160572 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | Manufacturer 3-Year Limited | ## Images ![Quick 2 Cook Set - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61hHY7GgW4L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chef's kiss *by K***D on February 26, 2026* Really nice set for ultralight camping and hiking! It stacks very nicely and snuggles right into the pan. One pot is non-stick and the nonstick surface is good. Washes easy and I use plastic scrubbie covered sponge with no problems. The cookset only comes with one handle so this second one from the pan is helpful for the second pot. Handle is steady when the pan is loaded. The whole set is very lightweight. I think it will hold up nicely. The plates/bowls are deep and sturdy. The mugs kept liquids toasty. The lids are nice and snug. The sippy whole is ok, I'd prefer if it was on the other side. The pot lid handle stays cool and the strainer is a good addition. I am very pleased with the set and would recommend it, or the other sizes as meets your needs. ## Frequently Bought Together - MSR Quick 2 Camping Cook Set - MSR Piezo Ignitor for Canister Stoves, Red - MSR Alpine Dish Brush / Scraper , Red --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://china.desertcart.com/products/2015169-quick-2-cook-set](https://china.desertcart.com/products/2015169-quick-2-cook-set) --- *Product available on Desertcart China* *Store origin: CN* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
