I use this product constantly it makes a very good dip for chips

What’s in this ? Meat. Lots of it. Tomato sauce and seasonings. I found it on the not-too-spicy side, which might be interpreted by some as not spicy enough. (There’s one in every crowd.) Me? I find it like Goldilocks did, that is “just right”. What I like is this chili isn’t too soupy. But you can’t stand a spoon upright in it. There’s good pieces of ground beef in there, more than enough so you know the beef is really part of the meal and not just “flavored with meat”. Best of all, there ain’t no beans ! That’s so you can enjoy a nice hearty meal without sounding like the campfire scene in Blazing Saddles ! 😳 Oh, just have a bowl and watch the movie, you’ll understand. 😅

I am old and I remember the days when I could hop over to the MacDougal's for a $1 double cheeseburger. I called it "the protein pill". It's all I needed for a buck and it fueled my day until dinner. Well those days are gone. Within that concept is; "what keeps us going". My Wife can't eat beans so here we are; Hormel Chili No Beans. It's a smaller can, but it packs 15g of Protein into a spice-laden sauce that is almost certain to kill the common cold. Ok...a double cheeseburger has 24g of Protein, but it's also not in a can and it also can't survive on a shelf until the end of time. I can't add a double cheeseburger to some processed cheese and make food for four people on a whim. Granted; I can't ruin the colon of four people with a double cheeseburger either, but it is what it is. Know what you are buying and hunt for a good price. That said; you can't do much better for shelf-stable protein in a can.

After becoming disenchanted with another name brand chili, I decided to try this Hormel. It tastes great and has a good texture. It isn’t watery like the other one that sounds like valley. Update: I will no longer be buying this, as it has increased by a dollar per can.
