Great product that works very well. I have been using this product for a year or so and I am happy with it. I have managed to store a lot of games onto it with no problems and everything has been up to par. I will say it is helpful and wise to turn off your external hard drive if you are going to be unplugging your ps4 or ps5. Go to Settings > Storage. Select USB Extended Storage > Safely Remove from PS5. Disconnect the USB extended storage from your PS5 console. FOR PS4: Go to Settings > Devices > USB Storage Devices Select Stop. The reason it is important to do this is because if you do not turn off the device before unplugging system and device it risks the data being lost/corrupted. Pros: Holds very many games ( Depending on game GB size anywhere from 75-150 games perhaps) Loads PS4 games seamlessly Keeps everything organized Can hold PS4 & PS5 games Priced reasonably Cons: You can't play PS5 games directly from this device PS5 games must be transferred back to console storage or internal solid state drive in order to be played

I usually have issues with external drives after a while but this one seems to be holding up. It works all the time, is a pretty good price for it's storage capacity, and does it's job. I bought this because I was sick of my internal SSD being constantly filled by my steam library. As far as gaming mechanical drives go, performance is great. Of course, my SSD blows this drive out of the water, but this is only a fraction of the cost. It runs just as fast as the WD black in my computer and behaves similarly to my mechanical internal hard drives. Plus the major benefit of being able to take it with me. If you're looking for a good cost effective way to store your games without sacrificing performance, this is it. But if you were simply gunning for pure performance, get yourself an SSD.

Works good on both Xbox and PlayStation for game downloads

I bought this Hard Drive back in 2021 and worked perfectly until middle of 2022 when it started to slow down before finally failing Yesterday. Now I cant boot up my pc when its plugged in and when it does boot up and I plug it back in, It freezes my pc and im forced to restart it with it unplugged.I really wished it lasted longer as I enjoyed the speed it offered.

I just received this drive and am transferring about 3 TB of data over USB 3.x. Before I started transferring data I change the formatting to NTFS instead of the default formatting. So prior to buying this I read the reviews and saw some negative feedback due to read / write speeds. Most were indicating that the drive was only running at ~110 Mbps. I wanted to quickly note the following: On the box, and in the specifications it very plainly states "Up to 130 MB/s" On my copy of video and music files, over a USB 3.0 connection from both the source and destination (this drive) of roughly 3 TB total, I am seeing an average speed over 110 MB/s and I have seen short time burst speeds up to 140 MB/s. This is as specified in the description and on the actual box. It is meeting the design specifications, so anyone not happy with an average speed of ~110 Mb/s and burst speed of over 130 MB/s should look elsewhere. However for almost everyone on the planet, an average ~110MB/s is going to meet ALL of your needs. Unless you are an IT professional, you really do not need more, and I am guessing IT professionals are not looking at AFFORDABLE hardware like this. This is good quality consumer grade hardware, in fact it is very good consumer grade hardware which is why I am rating it 5 stars. Don't get caught up in the numbers, this is a good drive.

I keep my files in 3 places: cloud, hdd and ssd drives. Redundancy gives me peace of mind. I don't trust any device after losing important files, or paying for recovery, due to malfunctions, crashes or accidents. I don't trust the cloud either, the service can be interrupted by power outages and natural disasters. Esta perfecto por guardar todos los juegos de mi pc portatil. Tengo mis juegos principales en el SSD interno del ordenador y compré este por tener espacio sin pensar a borrar juegos para descargar nuevos. Con este ya no tengo ese problema y funciona perfectamente. No calente y tempoco no hace ruido. Calidad del producto muy bueno

Acquistato per archiviare tutte le foto di casa. Funziona alla grande ed è anche veloce. Buona capacità e HD molto resistente. Io personalmente lo uso per pc dove scarico tutte le foto. Ne ho acquistato un'altro da 2 TB. Ottimo acquisto.
