Ranger THoltz Ink Pad Set 1 Tim Holtz Distress Mini InkSet, Multicolor

I opened these as soon as I got them because some inks that I've bought which were on sale for a lower price than usual like these were nearly completely dry when I got them!!! The local lady who owns Scrap 2 It here in Fort Collins told me that a lot of companies will sell them cheap just to get rid of them when they've been on the shelf too long! So, after I opened the packages I opened each ink pad and barely touch the pad of my finger to the pad of the stamp pad. Every single ink was super juicy!!! I should have worn a glove when I did it but I didn't realize they'd be THAT juicy. These are awesome stamps because they are so small. You can get into tiny little places with them. Yet you can still cover a large stamp with them if you choose to. I wanted to get started on my distress ink collection. I only need 9 more colors in the alcohol inks and I'll have the full set! Then I planned on starting my distress ink collection and my Twinkling H2O's if and when I saw them with good prices on them. They are a beautiful pearly, metallic or glittery (depending on which sets you purchase) water color pan set. There are lots of things that I still need and want that I'll get along the way. But none of us paper crafters can do ANYTHING without our papers, card stocks and inks! This was a great way to start my Tim Holtz Distress Ink collection. Now I can just get reinkers for each of these colors. Then I'll get the other colors when I'm done with the reinkers! Anyhow, these are an awesome product and SUPER JUICY!!!

glad they came out with the minis. I'm on a tight budget so being able to get all the colors would have been rather expensive if I got the full size. Also, since I don't typically work on large projects I find this lays down just enough color when I want to use it as a water color without wasting ink. I don't really stamp with it because the image doesn't come out real crisp but when I do it is usually because I don't want a crisp image. All of the colors in the distress line are nice, but you do have to be careful with some of them when you water them down and blend as the primary colors may show through or the color gets greyish - i.e. one of the greens turns yellow easily and one of the browns gets very faded and greyish.

What more can you say about Distress inks - they are so versatile and these little cubes are the best!

I had started purchasing the 3x3 size distress inks, but it can get expensive quickly. This mini ink set is easy to work with and now I have more colors to work with.

Colors are beautiful, I'm using them for a fingerprint guest book. However . . . the ink WILL stay on skin even after washing immediately. I just tested it and used soap and water after, and all my fingers are colored :)

Ranger products speak for themselves! Yes love this little inkers! One thing though, the lids to not stay on well at all!!! Make sure you store them very carefully in the upright position where they wont be jostled. Other wise love them!
