noise

i had done enough research on compressor's and thought this [Moen] would work very well,It was fine on the SS but made my tube amp very noisy, like a hissing, even w/the compressor level all the way down still made a hiss. The problem is that you can not believe any of the reviews out there. It's like there all from dealer's of the product. Now i have a $70 item that is unusable.I of all know that you get what you pay for,

I have owned my for several years and love it. I find it very quiet

I didn't buy my Uni-Comp from Amazon. I have owned my for several years and love it. I find it very quiet. When I play out and want a minimum of equipment, I will use this compressor as my only pedal. It's great for sustaining leads, but I use it mainly for slide guitar. It gives a Lowell George/Bonnie Raitt kind of sound to my Strat. It definitely colors your sound more than most compressors, but I like the sound. For this price, you can't go wrong.
