My kids did a rock painting activity at a fair recently and wanted to do it at home, so I purchased these for them. They are a great price, and the rocks are a very decent size. They are flat and smooth and very easy to paint on. My kids loved it!

Great for painting. The surface was wide enough to paint a sunset scene. I loved the different shapes which inspired special designs. One looked like a taco - so I painted a taco.

These were so fun to work with. My kids had a great time painting them for our rock garden! They are smooth and have a very large surface to color on. Make sure you buy acrylic markers for rock painting.

Why did I buy rocks? Why am I reviewing rocks? Maybe I've gotten old... We bought these to paint and place randomly around forest preserves. Why are we going to forest preserves? Covid - nothing else safe to do. So yea, never thought I would buy rocks, never thought I would paint rocks and 100 billion percent never thought I would place rocks that I bought off Amazon around a forest preserve.

I have 24 students so was excited to see 24 in this bundle. Received only 23 rocks!!!! Ugh- poor student. Rocks are good black(dark gray) color and good size. Only a few are nice and flat, most are bulgy and they are really polished or coated with wax. Would not buy again because acrylic paint does not adhere. Disappointed.

Nice rocks although not super crazy about some of the odd shapes that didn’t lend themselves great to rock painting. Overall, though, you get a lot more stones for your money with this collection and they are nice and smooth, so I would recommend them.

I was pleasantly surprised with this. I’m giving grade schoolers a rock painting class and the weather is still too miserable to go out hunting for our own rocks. I took a chance with these and received really stunning rocks all the perfect shape and texture for rock painting. Can’t wait to have fun with the kids!

Massive and I wouldn’t say they are flat for the majority. Only a few. None of them are 2”, most all closer to 4”

The rocks are all 4 inches or larger, they are not flat very bumpy all over and weird shapes. The image they show is also very deceptive, I received all black stones, no lighter colors at all so they all require priming - be prepared for this extra cost if you were hoping to use lighter colors. I also received less than the number promised, I think they must weigh them instead of count them as my bags were already opened and the rocks were just rumbling around in the open box. Overall I do not recommend this purchase, it does not meet the description as advertised.

The rocks were not a good quality. I will never purchase them again
