Scotch Electrical Tape, 0.5 in X 20 ft, 5/pk, Colored

I tend to prefer rubber electrical tape to vinyl but these multi-color tape rolls server a purpose to which they are well suited - marking lines. I live in a 1920s bungalow with a lot of old but still viable cloth insulated copper wiring. I don't know if the insulation was ever different colored but now all the lines are the same shade of dark grey. Once I test and determine the live wires, etc. I use these multi-color tapes (red, black, and white especially) in a band around the ends of the wires to mark the hot and neutral lines, etc. This is not only safer (no forgetting which line was hot and which was neutral) but saves time/effort when going back into a box or fixture to change something. So, for that purpose this works great and I always keep a set in my wiring toolkit. I've also used the yellow and green tape for non-electrical work or work on small projects where color is unimportant. The tape itself has a nice thickness, good adhesion, and can be stretched pretty tight without snapping when making those high tension wraps. Like all vinyl electrical tape it can get a little gooey if you try to remove it later on, but that's just par for the course. Good stuff here.

I use these as markers for keys. We have rental property and also hold keys to friends and neighbors homes as well. Lots of keys, but for security reasons, I don't necessarily like having descriptive labels on them. Instead, I color mark the keys with a little strip of this colored tape. John's house is yellow, so his key gets a yellow strip of tape . . . Jane's front door is red, so her key gets a red stripe . . . I did not realize when I ordered these, that they are narrower than the typical 1" black electrical tape. It specifically says on the packaging and in the description, that these tapes are 1/2" wide. In my case, this is actually a benefit and works better than the wide tape - - - just something to take notice of if you're looking for standard 1" wide tape.

I had read the dimensions and other reviews about how these were smaller than most rolls of electrical tape. I was still shocked at how small they actually are though when I finally had them in hand. What I would consider a normal roll of electricians tape is 3/4" wide by 66' long. These rolls are only 1/2" wide by 20' long. They are very small rolls. See the attached picture where I have them compared next to a normal sized 3/4"x66' roll (that's already had quite a bit used from it) and you will get a better idea of their size. Other than the size, it's different colored electrical tape and that's what I wanted (specifically the blue, green and yellow colors). I'll still use black electrical tape most often so hopefully these rolls will last quite a while since my need to have specific colors is fairly limited.

Good price, works well, great for identifying different lines

It's good electrical tape but it reminds me of toilet paper rolls, how they keep getting smaller and smaller over the years. Electrical tape used to be a pretty standard size roll. I thought these were the same but they are VERY skinny rolls and VERY small rolls. So you're not getting much of the actual tape here. Nothing wrong with it beyond that but who ever said, "I wish they'd make these rolls of tape smaller!" Nobody.

i work construction and use these to color code my tools so ik whats mine and less risk of being stolen. ive wrapped them one time a year and a half ago and the tape is still in perfcect condition and still tightly wrapped.

丁度、ビニールテープを使い切ってしまったので、手ごろな物を 探して、これを選びました。 今まで使っていた物の半分の幅なのですが、普段の用途が絶縁して 処分する使い終わった乾電池の廃棄の時など、そんな物なので、 これで十分です。 そう言う訳で、使用頻度が少ない事もあり、このパッケージは気に入りました。 使い終わったら戻しておけば、フックにぶら下げておくこともできるし、 大抵、こういう粘着テープ系で、滅多に使わない場合は、横の部分に 埃が付着して見た目が悪くなるか、置いている場所の周辺に糊移りして、 汚くしてしまうかなんですが、これなら埃も入りにくく、他を汚さずに 保管管理できます。
