Virbac C.E.T.® Oral Hygiene Kit for Dogs | Poultry-flavor Toothpaste | Fingerbrush and Pet Toothbrush

I bought this for my 2 month old Chihuahua to begin a tooth brushing routine with her. This toothpaste came with a finger brush, as well as a long toothbrush that has a small brush on one end and a larger brush on the other end. I will probably never use either the finger brush or the larger brush as my Chihuahua is small, but that's okay. I followed the suggestion of first showing my dog the toothbrush and letting her sniff it so that she could become familiar with it. I also followed the suggestion to place a small amount of the toothpaste on the tip of the finger to let her taste it, again so that she could become familiar with it. It is now day 5 of me brushing her teeth and at first she was a bit hesitant and combative, but as the days went on she became more accustomed to it making it easier to brush her teeth. This toothpaste is a little pricey, but it seems to be worth it as my dog has no problem with the taste and given my dog's small size, I believe that it will be a good long while before the toothpaste is finished. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality toothpaste and brushing tools for their dog.

Didn't end up using the toothbrush this came with bc my pet I bought it for was my first kitten! :) I was so worried teaching him to brush his teeth would be an absolute nightmare from Hell... but to my surprise, he absolutely adores the flavor (I got him chicken)! He still squirms away when I try to cut his claws, but every night, I've been brushing his teeth with this and he never runs, not even an attempt at squirming away! Overall, I can't speak for the quality of the brush, but I did rub it with my fingers gently to feel how soft it was, and the slight give to the bristles wasn't bad at all! Easy to gold the brush, and the comfort for me and my kitten looks good to go when he gets older. For now tho, the quality of the toothpaste is top notch, very impressed by this product and will definitely come back for more!

Our three dogs love it and beg for it as a treat. It probably helped our 14+ year old Chihuahua bad breath and bad plaque. Had to put her under and spend $1400 at the Vet. It should help her maintain her white teeth now. The two younger dogs have good white teeth and we hope to maintain that going forward. The gel dog tooth paste we used before, the dogs didn't like it so we didn't use it often enough.

This product is often recommended by veterinarians as the go-to for feline dental care. I am pleased with the product in the fact that it does what it is supposed to. However- the fish flavor does not entice my kitties! Logan hates it and will scratch to get away, Orion tries to get away but tolerates it and Moony is always trying to meow the whole time like I just committed the ultimate kitty parent sin! Alas, I am a concerned pet parent so I continue to try! Especially since there aren't very many competitors on the market right now. What every kitty parent should know is that feline oral care is very important because your cat can get gingivitis which can lead to tooth loss and heart issues. Not to mention cavities that can eat at the base of the crown causing holes through the molars of the teeth. You may notice while brushing that kitty has calculus (plaque) by looking at the back upper and lower cheek teeth. It appears brown and hard. It will not come off with brushing and the cat will need to go to the veterinarian for dental cleaning. However, if you start on this program regularly you can help avoid this. Also a meat based wet diet will help with dental care as well. The product does come with your choice of weapon (lol). A slightly harder clear "finger brush" which I deem useless due to the size of the feline mouth, and the white little toothbrush that is about 2 1/2 inches long with a bent head. This works pretty well. You also get a large tube of toothpaste that I can see lasting awhile because all you need is a pea size dollop. What I would like to see by taking the "at home dental care" further is a toothbrush case and some kind of hands free disinfectant so the brush isn't just sitting in my medicine cabinet like it is now. Call me a germaphobe but cats mouths are extremely germy and I like the idea of having a ready to go sterilized brush for next use. Also, it would be nice to have a little stand or something of that nature so that when you are wrestling kitty the toothbrush doesn't get knocked off of a table and you have toothpaste everywhere. To work and create products for animals we must understand animals! All in all I will say that this product is pretty decent and worth the money.

This is a good starter kit if you’re trying to get into brushing your dog’s teeth. It comes with everything you need, and I like having both the regular toothbrush and the finger brush. The finger brush is helpful when your dog is still getting used to it. The poultry-flavored toothpaste seems to work well, and my dog didn’t mind it which makes the process easier. I can see how it is helping to whiten his teeth and remove any build up. The toothbrush design has good ergonomics as it is practical, and the longer handle helps reach back teeth without too much trouble. It has feels durable. It does take some patience at first, especially if your dog isn’t used to having their teeth brushed. But once you get into a routine it becomes easier. I think that this is a solid kit that’s simple, effective, and a good way to start building a regular dental routine for your dog.

I googled to see which toothpaste was the best for dogs and this one came up first. I brush my puppy's teeth for the first time today and she did not mind the taste at all. I think this is a keeper.

My dog loved the toothpaste flavor and was happy to get his teeth brushed for the first time! Beware! The toothbrush that came in the kit is dangerous. A few bristles got loose! If I didn't notice, my dog could have choked or swallowed them! I am complaining to the company.

This is very good and the tooth paste is a good quality. The brushes are a perfect size for our 4.5kg Arabian Mau, she doesn't seem to mind us using it and has always been easy to clean her teeth. Her teeth have always been quite white so we cannot say for sure if it does whiten teeth but we do think it does. This paste and brushes are perfect for maintaining cat tooth health and has been a great value for money to ensure we don't need to see any vets for tooth issues.

I was not expecting much from this product, but after brushing my cat’s teeth with it I noticed her breath improved almost immediately. Over time I also saw less tartar and plaque buildup on her teeth. She even seemed a little happier and more comfortable, though that might just be me imagining it. It does take some patience to get a cat used to the brushing process, but the fact that the toothpaste is flavored helps a lot since she actually seems to enjoy the taste. Overall, it turned out to be far more effective than I expected and has made a noticeable difference in my cat’s dental health.
