So pleasantly surprised, compared to Protein Works, this one is soooooo tasty, no weird aftertaste. It is on the sweeter side, but I'm good with that. And it doesn't bloat me either. 10 out of 10.

I use this to nix in with my overnight oats. It mixes in really well and tastes fantastic and is a perfect way to up your protein intake. Ive also made a few protein shakes using oat milk and this powder mixes really well with that too. Tastes good and mixes well so gets 5 stars from me.

I used to buy the previous version of this - red and blue bag. It was a 5 star, tasty and fulfilling protein shake. This new green bag version is dreadful. New green bag formula / version review: 1 - it is just too sweet. Even 1 hr after drinking it I was feeling nauseous with the sweetness of it. It did not fulfilling as previous versions, it just made me want to eat stuff to get rid of the nausea it caused. 2- Mixes ok, no issues for me. 3 - Packaging is sub-standard. Does not close properly in contrast with previous version. I don't understand why these companies have to change a good product into a mediocre one. Saving money in production, possibly?? It is a bad economy though, as clients will just drop you for something else. I was really happy I had found a vegan (animal product free) mix and now I am back to the drawing board. I bought it even after the previous not so good reviews of this new version as I need to try myself, since it is so hard to find a proper vegan product and I really liked the previous version. I am glad In bought the small bag - still a total waste of money as I don't now if I can stomach this after exercise and it will probably end up in the rubbish bin. I will never buy from this company again, unless I have written confirmation the formula is exactly as before. My star review goes from 5 starts on the previous version to 1 star on the green bag one. It is not just the taste. I literally felt sick after having it.

Sci-Mx is an established brand, so you can be sure their products are quality. V-Gain is no exception, with a superb range of ingredients, and a macro-nutritional profile comparable to the best. The chocolate taste is very good: there are many vegan proteins even better (generally from the USA), but I've no complaints over the taste - and I mix it with water. It's probably even better with soya, rice or oat milks. (But why would you buy a product with such a fabulous macro' profile only to downgrade it by mixing it with something other than water??!) My only gripe is the texture. Using a hand-held shaker, this powder (which, paradoxically, is extremely fine) doesn't mix 100%: you're left with tiny lumps. No big deal but other vegan proteins manage to avoid this, so why can't Sci-Mx? If you want a great protein shake without bits, buy this - but use a blender.

Good consistency and tastes great

It’s ok but way too thick and gloopy to drink when you use 2 scoops in 300ml. I can only tolerate 1scoop at a time. Also it’s very sweet

I bought the smaller bag of this and it was fantastic. I’m very fussy with protein powder and I’m fed up of the awful taste of protein works powders so I thought I’d give this a go. I tried the smaller bag which was excellent so obviously I thought next time I will take the plunge and go for the bigger one. Big mistake. For one, the taste is SO DIFFERENT. It’s much sweeter and sickly. Secondly, the protein amount is different per portion (35g for smaller bag, 33g for bigger bag) Thirdly, the scoop is different even though the serving amount is the same. So with the smaller bag you would use two level scoops, with the larger bag scoop you do one and a half which is so odd. Finally, the powder mixes differently. Usually I would have one serving of the powder, with 200ml milk and 100 water. This would be fine coming from the smaller bag, but with the bigger bag I need twice sometimes three times as much water for it to mix properly AND that’s using a blender. I actually did a test and got another smaller bag to make sure I wasn’t going crazy, but there are SO MANY differences that seem unnecessary. Unfortunately I will have to keep getting the smaller bag even though it’s more expensive. Bottom line: get the smaller bag because it’s astronomically better.
