While I initially debated between the paperback and spiral-bound versions, the extra investment was undoubtedly worthwhile. However, one minor disappointment is the absence of lyrics printed alongside the songs. As someone who enjoys singing along while playing, having the lyrics included would have been a welcome addition. Nonetheless, this doesn't detract significantly from the book's overall quality and utility. In summary, "Classic Piano Favorites" is a must-have for pianists seeking a diverse repertoire of timeless classics. Lots of good songs in this book. It is heavy for the sheet music stand if have a portable stand.

I like the selection of songs. The book is so large that it does not fit in my stand on my piano. I did buy the spiral edition but the book is so flimsy that it falls backwards in half if I don’t put a big solid book behind it.

There is a range of difficulty in this volume that makes many of the songs accessible to the intermediate pianist with room for embellishment for the advanced musician. There are frequent key changes (that sometimes make sense and sometimes do not) in the longer pieces. Overall the scope of the music is very nice, lovely music. Many of the tunes are lovely lullabies that calm a fussy baby (true story) or soothe a busy day. Hubby said "Blue Moon" is worth the purchase of my grand piano. This isn't intended as solely classical piano, for that many books are available, however it contains some very sweet popular music from Billy Joel to Sting and terrific oldies like "Jean" or classics by Gershwin such as "Summertime". I thoroughly enjoy the selections. Clair de Lune, Fur Elise, and Canon in D are examples of the classical pieces included in this book, and they are lovely arrangements. I recommend this for pure enjoyment, relaxing and beautiful songs, and elegant non-tyrannical arrangements.

The book has great songs but it’s so thick, it won’t even stay open on my piano.

Should have listed more songs in the product description. Had a nice surprise that it contains so many good songs. Almost purchased an alternative as the description does not mention some songs. A little thick but the weight is still acceptable.

I don't make it a habit of writing reviews. I only write ones when a 5 or 1 star is warranted. So either I'm in love or prepare for my wrath. This sheet music book is quickly becoming my most treasured possessions (as a matter of sheet music). I'm high level intermediate .. not a concert pianist. I can read music very quickly.. I've been playing piano since the age of 12 and let's just say a was born in the age of Aquarius. These are old and new favorites with heart. The arrangements are fantastic sometimes with several key changes thrown in. I cannot recommend this strongly enough. Looking to see if there is a digital version to purchase so that this music can travel with me and my iPad.

This is a real bumper book of beautiful tunes both old and new. Great for the intermediate pianist. I would thoroughly recommend it

Overall, most of the songs shown in this book are popular for me. However, IF all the songs are shown with chords and lyrics, it will help me to play the piano and appreciate more. Hope the next edition of this book is included with chords and lyrics.

No lyrics and most pieces lack fingering notation.

Great piano music book with classical and pop Hollywood pieces. Large format which is very pleasing for the eyes.

- a majority of the songs are jazz - most songs are songs rather than compositions (have words) - it is super large and difficult to keep open but - there aren't many pieces with difficult key signatures - the songs are for an intermediate level of piano (grade 5-6) Overall, it was a good buy and it came early, even when shipping globally.
